Autism is often misunderstood, and many autistic individuals are misdiagnosed before receiving accurate support.

Common reasons autistic individuals are misdiagnosed include:

🎈 Struggles are seen as a phase

🎈 The person is a high-achieving adult

These misdiagnoses aren’t the fault of the individual. They reflect systemic gaps in understanding, assessment, and recognition of neurodivergence, especially in adults, women, and gender-diverse people.

Challenge stereotypes and to create more inclusive spaces for people with autism, ADHD, dyslexia and other neurodivergent conditions.

Mother’s Day on social media can feel like a flood of happy photos, and celebrations of family. But we know for so many of you that today can be a reminder of loss, longing, or complicated and painful feelings.

Definitely- it’s the first important step to getting out of that dark hole. You’re not alone.

Another amazing night tonight we had 24 guys come through our doors.

Something we hear often is that guys are being told to man up or what have you got to worry about. Our aim with the questions is to get guys talking and hopefully they leave feeling better than when they arrived 👌

Working with young people, I maybe won’t say it the way the doctor does but working with the whole person and not just one part, or a symptom, means a young person is seen and heard.

I see a person, not a problem, I want to get to know their strengths, not only the difficulties. I want to tune into the way they see the world and what’s important to them.

Then we can do the work.
