Hair Transplant - P’s Story:

My client saw an advert on Instagram by a hair transplant clinic… advertising “unlimited” plugs for £899. (Sadly this is true. I have seen the advert).

So he booked. Once he arrived at the clinic… he was sent to a venue, that he had never heard of 🚩They wanted more money. 🚩They also:

❌ Over harvested. He has been left with scarring that exceeds the occipital area (it creeps into the crown)

❌ He wasn’t actually operated on by a surgeon. It was a hair transplant assistant. Read that again.

The outcome? Scarring & failed areas of growth on the crown, mid and frontal regions.

The solution? We’ve been working together now since April 2025. We’re 6 months into a comprehensive treatment plan including microneedling and polynucleotides for the scarring itself, a home care plan with specialised clinical products to support follicle growth and Scalp Micropigmentation to a) blend the scarring and b) create fuller hair density.

The result speaks for itself ❤️ BUT it’s not been a quick fix. These things rarely are.

November is Men’s Mental Health Month.

Some of you will scroll by and it will mean nothing. That’s cool. I hope it never happens to you.

But for way too many of us, we know someone that didn’t reach out for help. Or we know a friend or a colleague that now lives with a permanent heavy weight on their shoulders.

Me? I lost my Dad and a childhood friend in 2020. This year I lost another old friend, who could no longer cope with the ‘black dog’ after his many years of service in Northern Ireland, Iraq, Afghan and Sierra Leone.

I have 4 friends that lost their Dads too, and their brothers. 💔

That’s a tally of 7 men and I don’t even have to think hard about it.

So if you’ve read this far - thank you. Do something small and take a note of the support numbers on the poster or better yet, check in on the quiet ones. Check in on the class clowns too, the loudest in the room and the “funny” guys. They’re often the ones hiding the most.

Some SMP artists do it in 3 sessions, that’s cool it’s just not my vibe. I like to take my time and LAYER ✌🏻

Over the course of 4-5 sessions, I use multiple gauges, multiple shades and change the combo up so I’m dropping down the gauge on the last session for finer details.

On this session I used blank ink with correctors, teamed with needles.

SMP session 1 completed 👊

Did you know Scalp Micropigmentation can cover both FUE and FUT hair transplant scarring?

Session 1 = laying the foundation, and beginning the process of naturally blending the scars into the surrounding skin.

Can’t wait for Session 2 in 4 weeks to add more depth and increase the appearance of density where needed 🙌
