๐Ÿ’š NACAS Advocates for Stronger Safeguarding in Private Care ๐Ÿ’š

At NACAS, we work every day to champion the rights and professionalism of care workers and to ensure the people we care for are treated with dignity and respect.

Yesterday on Good Morning Britain, our CEO, Liz Blacklock, joined Louise Woollam, who courageously shared her experience of having items stolen by a private carer entrusted with her husbandโ€™s care.

Liz used this opportunity to highlight the urgent need for:
๐Ÿ’šRobust regulation of private care services
๐Ÿ’šComprehensive vetting of all carers, regardless of employment type
๐Ÿ’šGreater oversight to protect vulnerable people in their own homes

The vast majority of carers do incredible work and should be proud of the difference they make. These safeguards are not about creating barriers; theyโ€™re about ensuring trust, safety, and dignity for everyone receiving care.
