These influences shape the narratives individuals carry, often blending voices from religion, ideologies, peer groups, school teachers, and staff into a mosaic of identity. In therapy, the challenge lies in helping clients discern which of these inherited voices and beliefs continue to serve their growth and which may hinder their sense of autonomy.
