Today we’re proud to celebrate a truly special milestone — 25 years of service from Kate Davis

Kate joined us at just 16, when Trevor Hickton asked her if she could type — and he meant on a typewriter. From those early days as a funeral arranger, she has supported countless families with care, compassion, and professionalism at some of their most difficult times.

Over the years, Kate has grown with the business and now manages our stone masonry business - Jones Memorials - Dudley continuing to help families create lasting and meaningful memorials.

Her dedication, loyalty, and commitment to both the families we serve and our business has been unwavering.

Thank you, Kate, for everything you’ve done over the past 25 years — a fantastic achievement and very much appreciated by us all.

A simple BON ACCORD DARK GREY granite, centre peon memorial with a cut and painted silver line and sanded (unpolished) margin to frame the inscription. The memorial has a polished face to the headstone and top of base with the remainder sanded (unpolished).

This week our featured memorial is 'The Esslemont'.

Shown here in beautiful GREEN MEADOW granite, this memorial has polished rounded edges to the headstone which displays a polished cross design with a deeply carved background. The oval shaped base has a polished top and rustic sides and due to the one sided flower container arrangement, this means that your inscription does not get obscured by floral tributes.

Today marks the anniversary of a local tragedy, where a devastating explosion occurred and 19 young ladies lost their lives, whilst employed breaking up live WW1 rifle munitions in Dudley Port, Tipton.

On 6 March 1922 the explosion tragically occurred killing:
