Yesterday the Nature Buddies @ Baggeridge made nature bracelets with petals and leaves, planted bean seeds, filled plant beds with organic matter, planted out some lettuce and peas that were established, planted some more flowers in our wildflower garden, saw how the potatoes had grown since last week and gave everything a good water after a week of sunshine☀️

Yesterday's Primary AP spent plenty of time outdoors 🌞 They gave our Baggeridge site a spruce up, worked with the animals and completed a budgeting skills task at our local garden centre. Well done all, fab work 😊

Today's Primary spent the morning at the yard doing the various animal care jobs and sprucing up the horsebox, followed by some craft where they made a miniature model of our farm. We then had lunch and a kick about ⚽️ before heading over to Baggeridge Community Garden to play in such a beautiful space 🌺🌿🌱🌳We even managed to get some sign painting done 🥳 Well done all - fab day 😊

Today's Primary AP spent time this morning clearing the field of newly sprouted buttercups, (as they're toxic to goats) and did it with gusto and determination! We then made some bird feeders, so that the swallows and pigeons that have chosen to nest in our stables to raise their young have access to some food to keep their strength up 🐦We then headed off to the Community Allotment at Baggeridge, where we made some very tasty (pretend) food in the mud kitchen, did some sand play, planted some chard seeds 🥬 demonstrated excellent listening and reasoning skills and returned to site with enough time to play on the tree swing and slide. Well done all, be proud of yourselves 🥳😊

Today's Secondary had another fab session with shebeasts.cic where they did some shadow boxing, rebound, weight training and mechanics 🔧 Excellent inclusion and team skills were demonstrated, along with empathy and motivation. We then headed back to the farm and spent time in the sun doing some animal therapy and bonding work. Well done all 😊

Today's Bitesize AP spent the first part of their session cleaning out the poultry, followed by some drawing and a visit from the farrier 🐴 We then headed to Baggeridge to start growing chard in the community garden 🥬🫘 Well done all 😊

This week's Primary round up! We spent our time helping community, caring for our animals, enjoying time spent in the company of our animal therapy team, discovered a natural goat herder amongst us, used our new outdoor school to practice groundwork with the boys 🐐, received some beautiful flowers from a parent to say thank you for our help in teaching her son new skills 💐 played in the fabulous Community Garden at Baggeridge, did lots of problem solving and team work to get various tasks completed, went on bug hunts, made lemon muffins - utilising math skills during the prepping stage, and spent time in the great outdoors 🌿 Thank you all, fab week all round 🥳

These pallets will be transformed into planters and a shelter, helping to create a safe, nurturing outdoor space for young people supported by Breathing Space Therapeutic Services CIC

Breathing Space is a community interest company dedicated to offering therapeutic support to children and young people across the Black Country and Staffordshire. Their work makes a real difference, providing care, guidance, and opportunities for growth.

At Deltron Lifts, we believe that through nurture, encouragement and empowerment, every child can realise their full potential. We’re honoured to play a small part in such a meaningful project.

Today's Secondary AP started the day doing the animal care jobs onsite and then headed off to begin work within the "Breaking Glass Ceilings" project with the fabulous shebeasts.cic 💪🏼They had the opportunity to engage in fitness, mechanics and try out the amazing rebound boots!! Well done to those who overcame fears and demonstrated support to one another and a big THANK YOU to Sadie & her team for inviting us along to be part of such a great project 🥳

There's been lost of animal care, team building, budgeting, research, regulation skills building, healthy relationship awareness, friendship building, target setting, boundary awareness, groundwork & handling, conflict management, peer support, problem solving and plenty of time spent outdoors 🌿 Well done all, excellent first week back 😊

Summer term has started and with it, our Bitesize group, who spent their time getting to know each other, doing observational drawings to increase awareness of our space and the animals within it, explored the site, agreed group rules and developed their communication and concentration skills through team games and activities. Excellent start to the term, well done all 😊
