Today our Primary AP spent the day learning about Diwali at Wightwick Manor so that they could create a celebratory video to share on our page this coming Monday 🥳 As always, their behaviour was exemplary, with staff at the Manor thanking them for the respect shown whilst walking around the exhibition, and the added knowledge they'd gained about Diwali during conversations with our kids. The group has a family-like dynamic, with our older boys always looking out for our youngest members and including them in games & offering support during activities; demonstrating patience, praise, care and encouragement when needed. You should all be VERY proud of yourselves, we certainly are! 🥰👏🥳

Today our Primary group explored the celebration of Diwali, carrying out research to create a wall display. They also completed the animal care jobs, re-tested their fitness levels via time trials (everyone beat their original speed 🥳), made paper lanterns to complement the festival of light theme and ended the day with some relaxation. Good day all round. Well done 👏 🥳

Our Secondary AP have been busy shopping for ingredients to make home-made soup courtesy of a donation made by one of our friends, followed by a delicious lunch and some tray bake making for the fundraiser. We also completed the animal care jobs, made some more bird feeders, found the goats enjoying the new horse shelter 🙄, carried her ladyship around for most of the day because she was tired 🐈‍⬛ and learnt the correct way to pick up a chicken. Well done all, excellent work 😊

Thursday's Primary group had a quick game of "All About Us" before carrying out the animal care jobs first thing and then continued their STEM based learning via kite making; where they went through a hands-on, problem-solving process - integrating science concepts like aerodynamics and mathematics through geometry, measurement, and symmetry. We then finished off some of our Christmas crafts, followed by lunch. We spent the afternoon exploring the surrounding countryside, flying the kites we'd made in the morning, walked 10,000 steps (not part of the initial plan), learnt how to ask for directions and kept each other's spirits up on our long trek back to the car 😴 Spirits were then lifted further with a quick play on the park before home time. Well done all, lots of team work, encouragement, support and determination demonstrated throughout the day. Be proud of yourselves 😊

Today's Primary group have been very busy caring for the animals (which they do fabulously), practicing their social skills during a visit to Asda to buy ingredients for birthday biscuits, baked and decorated the biscuits, practiced timed fitness tests, walked the goats (and V 🐴) and created a board game that was then tested out as part of an "All About Us" activity. Lots of teamwork, motivation and support was demonstrated throughout the course of the day - well done everyone 👏 🥳
