So what do I do just before the season of events kicks off, and the wife is at work??

Ah yes, get everything charged and hope it’s all done before she gets home and I’m in trouble…. 😆😆😆

Oh and not, that’s not all of them!

Had a fantastic day with the kids at Dumfries and Galloway Horse Show. Also a massive well done to our Connor Donowho for an excellent day on the mic keeping everyone informed of what was on, who the sponsors were and most importantly where the toilets were (just behind the Tarff Town and Country tent!)

Was also great to catch up with our friends within the horse world and see what everyone has been up to the last 12 months or so.

Although not an event we steward at, we did have a very small part to play. Connor borrowed our gazebo to keep him dry from the forecast (thankfully didn’t materialize until the very end) rain, and also they borrowed some of our radio gear as their own radios were playing up.

A thoroughly great day was had by all, and it’s safe to say the kids are both totally knackered now.

From me to all who were involved with today, a huge congratulations on the excellent event you put on.

DGVOST now up and running. Follow their page for updates across the region and also message the if you see anything.

Also keep an eye on Dumfries & Galloway Weather and Travel Updates for updates. I will try and let that page know of anything I hear of.

Nith high tide is somewhere around 23:30 so potential for flooding around that time.

Take care all. Time to hunker down and let this storm pass over.

Due to the Amber Warning that's in place from the Met Office, DG VOST is now active and will remain so until at least 3am tomorrow (5 April). We will do our very best to keep you informed of road disruptions and other hazards on our live incident tracker - https://experience.arcgis.com/experience/e8c3c835c1964a68a08dd21156c898bd. If you're out and about, please take care.
