Also keep an eye on Dumfries & Galloway Weather and Travel Updates for updates. I will try and let that page know of anything I hear of.

Nith high tide is somewhere around 23:30 so potential for flooding around that time.

Another fully packed season of events put on by Kirkcudbright Summer Festivities. Check out all the dates and see what you can get to. These guys really do a massive amount of hard work putting these events on, and it really shows.

Also with a wee bit of luck we may even be able to assist them this year, depending if we can sort out travel arrangements for our guys!

Due to the high winds forecast for tomorrow afternoon (Saturday 4th April), we have made the decision to open the Easter Trail, Gardens, Adventure Playground, Larchwood Cabin and Grounds from 9am until 1pm. The Castle and Tearoom will close at 3pm.

With the nature of our location and surroundings, the safety of visitors and staff are priority.

If you need to re-schedule come along on your preferred day and we can change your ticket at the Cabin.

Drumlanrig to hold The Lombard Rally Festival

The Lombard Rally Festival returns to Scotland in 2026 following the success of the previous events in 2024 and 2025. On 30th and 31st May, around 60 historic rally cars will gather at the spectacular Drumlanrig Castle estate in Dumfries and Galloway

How the heck has it been 2 years already since we last said goodbye to you. Always missed Alistair Kerr and you will always be our Romeo 1.
