Do you have any Paediatric Physiotherapy equipment cluttering up your home that your child or young person no longer uses? Are you having a summer clear out? We are trying to recall our equipment that is no longer needed in the community to refurbish or re-issue elsewhere.
If you've got any Children's Physio equipment tucked away in cupboards you've forgotten about we would really appreciate hearing from you. We know that life gets busy and kids go through growth spurts that means that some equipment isn't fit for purpose anymore or they've moved onto the next size up without realising that the old one is still tucked behind a door. This might include walking frames, cushions/wedges, therapy benches, gym balls, wooden sloping boards for ankle stretches, crutches, TENS machines or static bicycle pedals... see pictures...
Unfortunately, we cannot accept anything fabric or perishable like therabands or splints. If there are any larger pieces of equipment that you cannot transport safely to us please get in touch and we can advise on how these could be collected from you.
Please message us with any queries or drop off the equipment to the Willows in Dumfries or The Oak tree in Stranraer week of 28th July-1st August between 10am-4pm. "
Please forward onto anybody you know who may have families who use(d) our Physiotherapy service or any school social media pages who may be able to share with parents directly.

We’ve recently heard about a local football club for young people with Autism so wanted to share the news with all our followers! Coach Scott said "Queen of the South Autism football team was set up in the Summer of 2023 to offer the chance for children with Autism to be part of a club. We are an inclusive and developing football team who is made up of 22 amazing children. They all share a love of football and have grown and developed together. They are so enthusiastic and love being part of our team.”
