🚨 Due to unforeseen technical issues, our IT systems are currently down. As a result, we are unable to access patient records or carry out existing appointments at this time. As an essential service, we currently plan to remain open today. However, please bear with us, as there may be delays or disruptions to appointments due to potential staff shortages caused by the adverse weather conditions.

We have been made aware of an IT issue causing some referrals from GP practices to the X-ray department to be lost. 🩻 🏥

If you have not received an appointment from the X-ray department within 2 weeks for an urgent referral (ultrasound or X-ray), please contact the hospital on 📞 01387 241535.

For routine referrals, if you have been waiting longer than the following times, call the same number:
• Ultrasound: 5 weeks
• X-ray: 6 weeks
• DEXA bone density scan: 4 months

An opportunity exists for a Practice Nurse 👩🏾‍⚕️👩🏼‍⚕️👨🏻‍⚕️ to work in a large teaching General Practice in Dumfries town centre. We have a practice population of approximately 12,000 patients.

We have 8 GP Partners, an ANP Team, an established Practice Nurse team, 3 Health Care Assistants, Pharmacist and Primary Care Mental Health Nurse Team within the practice.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated Practice Nurse to join our long-established, friendly Practice Team, who is able to deliver care within the boundaries of their role.

Ideally, applicants should be able to give professional advice to patients, be experienced in all aspects of wound care, cervical screening, chronic disease management and travel vaccinations. Training can be provided where needed.

This is a Band 6, permanent position for 32 hours per week (over 4 days). Flexibility is required for annual leave cover. Salary range is £31,000 - £35,000 pro rata.
