It’s not unusual to feel sleepy, heavy, or even emotionally drained after a reflexology session, and it’s actually a good sign that your body is responding.

Reflexology activates the parasympathetic nervous system - the ā€œrest and digestā€ branch responsible for slowing the heart rate, lowering blood pressure, and triggering recovery processes. Stress affects performance long before it shows up in sickness.

You can see stress in people:
* Interrupted sleep
* Constant tight shoulders
* Overthinking
* Feeling wired and tired

Reflexology is powerful for this because it works with the nervous system. It helps switch off the ā€˜fight or flight’ stress response and activate the ā€˜rest and recover’ mode. In other words, it helps people breathe again.

✨ A (very) belated welcome to November✨

Yesterday was full-on granny duty - sticky fingers, tiny cuddles and zero chance of remembering what day it was šŸ™ˆ And honestly? I wouldn’t swap it for the world 🩷

So here we are… arriving into November just a little late and a lot more heart-full.

This month feels different, doesn’t it? The pace naturally slows. The light shifts. The body whispers for rest, not resolutions.

November invites us to soften. To choose cosy. To say no more often, so we can say yes to what really matters.

Ever have one of those weeks where your mind’s racing and your body just feels… done? That’s when you know it’s time to stop, breathe and let someone look after you for a change.

One of my lovely clients came in recently for reflexology and a little reiki afterwards. She left saying she felt like a new woman.

Sometimes, we need to take our own advice.

It’s been a little quieter here lately - I’ve been under the weather and needed some proper time to rest and recover.

It’s funny how easily we remind others to slow down, to listen to their bodies and to take a step back when they need it… yet forget to do the same ourselves šŸ™ˆ

This little pause has been a good reminder that even as therapists, we’re human too. Rest isn’t a weakness. It’s part of the healing.

I’m feeling brighter now and slowly getting back into the swing of things - thank you for your patience and understanding šŸ’›

Let’s be honest…You do have time.
ļæ½It’s just going elsewhere…emails…errands…everyone else.

By the time your body shouts loud enough - headaches, exhaustion, burnout - that’s when most of us start listening.

But here’s the part no one tells you: You don’t need to fall apart first. You can choose rest before the crash.

And reflexology?
ļæ½It’s not lying on a spa bed in silence if that’s not your thing. It’s feet up in a recliner. Talking, or not talking. Whatever feels right for you šŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļøļæ½
