✨Did you know that a visit to The Yurt is more than just a treatment, it’s a fully holistic, sensory experience?

✨As soon as you walk through the door you enter the sacred yurt space, a sanctuary of calmness to allow you to escape from the outside world even just for an hour.

✨All treatments are designed just for you to combine massage, reiki, facial, reflexology and sound therapy. This is decided after a consultation with a rose soaked foot bath.

✨Time will be given for you to choose the homemade herbal infused oil that is best for your needs.

✨Hot stones and warm bamboo will always be prepared to allow for a deeper, more relaxing treatment.

✨My distinction in level 8 clinical reflexology
means that not only can your muscles be worked on but we can also work on your internal organs, and the lymphatic, hormonal and digestive systems of the body to enhance your well being.

✨Reiki energy can be added to any treatment to promote feelings of calmness.

✨All treatments start and end with therapeutic sound with the option of a heated massage bed or zero gravity recliner chair.

✨To ensure your privacy, you won’t bump into the next client when you live as time is given for you to relax, for me to clean and prepare and for reiki and sage to clear the energy space before someone new arrives.

Sometimes there are instruments out in the yurt that I don’t play during a soundscape and then other times I can play four gongs and a selection of accompanying twinkling sounds. I never know where the sound will take us, it goes where it goes and is not planned but one thing I am sure of is that there is always deep intention when I play to nurture everyone in the sound space. Yurt offerings are always at a comfortable volume without sudden crashes and potentially triggering loudness. The other thing I can always guarantee is yummy cake that you can enjoy with the group or take away to have at home afterwards. There are still a couple of spaces for this Friday and a waiting list for 20th. I will post dates for the end of July and into August in the next few days.

Please excuse the very sexist men/women image it was just to grab attention to the post. 🤦‍♀️ I’ve had a few people ask me about men and the yurt and what they can come to so I thought I would write to clarify. Yurt 1-1 treatments are for women only but men are very welcome at Monday yoga (6.30pm) and sound events unless they are marked as a female only space. I haven’t done a female only soundscape yet but I’ve had someone ask so I am open to that concept. It would be lovely to see more men at sound events, my apologies if there has been any confusion around this and you haven’t booked in because of my treatment policy. Many thanks Vicky

The countdown is on for my long awaited holiday! The Yurt will be closed from 21st June until 24th July. July appointments are filling up now and there are only a couple of evenings left in June. It was so nice to play my bowls outside and charge them with some sunshine energy yesterday afternoon. The birds were singing along and my dogs seemed to enjoy it too. Although these crystal bowls can get loud very quickly, I prefer to play them slowly and gently for a more subtle sound experience. I think my dogs agreed and quickly fell asleep next to me. Good morning lovely people!
I’ve been thinking a lot about pricing, sound events and accessibility and decided to reprice my Solstice event to £25. I initially charged more to cover the costs of booking both halls at West Barns to ensure a peaceful environment, food costs, set up time etc but recently there have been a few events I’ve been keen to go to but have been put off by ticket prices. I’ve always been told not to offer discounts as it devalues your service or makes your business look unsuccessful but in this case I’m going to ignore this advice and I’m not good at taking advice anyway. 😂😜
I really would like this event to have a warm community feeling and just before the summer holidays I’m extra aware that money is tight for lots of people and so I’d like to make it more affordable. This ticket price still includes your delicious Thai noodles to eat at the venue or to take away and enjoy at home.
I have messaged everyone who has already purchased a ticket about these changes and your options. If you have not received information please get in touch.

On my way back from my recent trip to Wales I made a detour into Snowdonia to visit Craig Shankster at his amazing studio Silence In Sound
and ended up coming home with this beautiful singing gong. It’s made of the same bronze alloy of Himalayan singing bowls and has been hand etched with the mantra Om Mani Padme Hum so it holds very special energy. I didn’t plan to buy a gong, I just wanted to visit after hearing wonderful things about Craig and his instruments but this gong went right through me and made a sound I’ve never heard a gong do before. I can’t really describe it but it plays a grounding deepness that then turns into an ethereal song which melts my heart! Thank you Craig for such a gorgeous, special gong.

The feedback so far has been amazing and I can’t wait to play it as part of my Solstice Soundscape on 20th June. ✨🥰
