We are a GWO Training Centre based in Dundee, Scotland, delivering a range of courses to support the growth and strength of the wind industry.

We also specialise in General On Site Rescue Drill Training as well as General Safety courses.

We had the pleasure of attending the Siemens Gamesa Onshore UK & Ireland Contractor Partnership Day.

We were asked to deliver a presentation on the differences between GWO First Aid and Enhanced First Aid, focusing on what this means in practice for people working in the sector.

The day included us delivering first aid practical demonstrations, open discussions, and great opportunities to connect with others, all with a clear focus on safety and collaboration.

A huge thanks to Siemens Gamesa for hosting such a well-organised event and for inviting us to be part of it.

As we head towards the festive break, we want to take a moment to reflect on what has been an incredible year here at Coast Training Dundee.

2025 has been a year of growth, progress and teamwork — from welcoming new members to the Coast family, to continuing to deliver high-quality training with the ongoing support of our amazing clients and partners. None of this would be possible without the dedication of our staff and the trust placed in us by everyone we work with.

Thank you to all our learners, employers, partners and supporters for being part of our journey this year — your continued support truly means the world to us.

Our training centre will be closed from 24th of December until the 5th of January, with our final courses taking place this week before the New Year.

A big well done to Steve Foley and Rachel Simpson from Coast Training Dundee, who successfully completed GWO Sea Survival this week as part of their ongoing instructor development.

Sea Survival is a vital element of the GWO suite — especially for those working in the renewables and offshore wind sector. From understanding emergency procedures to mastering safe boat transfers, this training builds the competence and confidence needed to operate safely in challenging marine environments.

A huge thank you to Stream Marine Training for hosting us and providing excellent support throughout the course. Partnerships like these help us continue raising industry standards and developing highly capable instructors for the next generation of technicians.

We’ve had a group of wind turbine trainees take a big step forward in their training journey, building strong foundations for their future careers in the wind industry.

🎓 They are now completing their GWO BST and BTT with us.

A fantastic effort from everyone involved, the industry needs young talent, and it’s great to see them progressing so well.

This course is always in demand and is a great qualification for anyone starting out or already working in the wind industry.

It covers the core technical skills needed to work safely on turbines, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. You’ll get experience with tools, maintenance, and turbine components, and you’ll receive life long certification once complete.
