EDs are significantly rising—especially among young people.
• Tayside (Dundee area) reflects Scotland-wide surge in referrals and waiting lists.
• Specialized resources exist but face capacity and timing constraints.
• Access via GP → referral to Tayside ED service. Adult care awaits; for minors, a smaller waiting pool but still notable delays.

Welcome to Talk And Mend_Talk It Out support, created by Jacqueline, Dundee area.

I know what it’s like to feel stuck in a cycle of disordered eating, fear, and self-criticism — because I lived it.

I recovered from an eating disorder 15 years ago, and that journey changed everything. It taught me not just about food or body image — but about identity, relationships, and the importance of being truly heard.

For over 12 years now, I’ve worked in mental health — supporting people of all ages with body image issues, substance use, and emotional trauma. I’ve worked in community services, residential settings, and 1:1 with young people and adults.

But what I always came back to was this: people heal through connection.

That’s why I have started Talk And Mend_Talk it Out Support.

I want to offer non-judgemental support and a safe space to girls, women, and families who have been impacted by eating disorders. A place where they’re met not just with professional knowledge, but with real-life empathy.

You don’t have to be “sick enough.” You don’t have to explain everything perfectly. You just need to come as you are, whatever stage of life you are at.

Now, I’m bringing both my personal insight and professional knowledge together to offer 1:1 support to girls, women, and families navigating the impact of eating disorders.

Whether you’re seeking a safe space to talk, tools to heal, or support for your loved one, you’re not alone — let’s talk it out. 💬
