Good luck to everyone tomorrow . Please read and share post below from Megans Space.

We are once again at the time of year where students, parents, teachers, care caregivers are all anxiously awaiting the exam results.

For some people, they’re filled with hopeful anticipation of the grades that would allow them to access courses or universities and colleges of their choice yet at the same time prepared to accept second or third choices as equally good options.

Others may be anxiously waiting for results as their sites are set on specific outcomes and the associated disappointment with not accessing their preferred choice it’s not worth considering.

And there will be other young people dreading the results coming in for fear they will not be as hoped and will not only prevent them from achieving their next steps but may also attract criticism or feelings of shame and failure.

Whatever group you sit in, please know you are more than your exam results.

Exams can be retaken, alternative choices can be made and second and third choices can be accepted with enthusiasm and grace.

For many lessons will be learnt, excuse the pun, and there is always an opportunity to create a plan for going forward.

Most of you will be young and still have your whole lives ahead of you. This set of exam results will either be the validation you were hoping for or a bump in the road towards a bright and wonderful future.

Most importantly, remember you have a whole support network of people who want you to succeed and make the next best choices.

Reach out to the people in your network and be open to the advice and support that will be offered.

You may have to take a small detour that be confident in the fullness of time you can reach your destination, you are not your exam results.

Wow 😮

Amazing support provided to young people by Megan’s Space 💛. Well done to everyone 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Who would’ve thought that five years ago the new charity Megan’s Space would embark on such an amazing journey.

The statistics speak for themselves.

One purpose to support young people to recover from mental health issues and prevent the needless loss of life to su***de.

Over the five years, we now have 7 Trustees, 24 practitioners, 10 volunteers, 2 head office staff, financial support from Spirit, Mission: Fit, HPE, corporate funders and numerous community fundraising events selflessly initiated by hundreds of local people without whom we would not be able to do the work that we do.

We always say that for every one young person we help we’re also impacting positively approximately another 40 people.

Today we can announce that we have registered our 1000th young person to be helped, which equates to 40,000 people, predominantly locally, assisted by Megan space.

We are so proud of everybody involved in Megan’s Space and we are proud of the impact the charity has had.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every person for each and every contribution.

And we wish every one of the young people that we’ve had the privilege to work with hope for the future.

This is why a group of us are walking Glasgow Kiltwalk to support young people 💛

💔These Numbers Should Break Your Heart — But They Can Also Inspire Action
In Scotland today:

🖤 Su***de is the leading cause of death in people under 25.
🧸 Two thirds of children will experience violence, abuse, or trauma before the age of 8.
😔 Half of young people report feeling anxiety that affects their everyday life.

These aren’t just numbers. They’re real lives, real pain, and real young people feeling lost, overwhelmed, and alone.

That’s why we are doing the Kiltwalk.

In 11 days, our Megan’s Space Kiltwalk team is walking 2000 miles to raise vital funds for free, early-access 1:1 therapy and mental health support for young people in crisis.

💜 You can help turn those miles into their smiles.
Just £1 sponsors one mile — and every step helps a young person feel seen, heard, and safe.

- Just £3 sponsors one of our Wee Wander walkers
- £13 sponsors one of our Big Stroll walkers
- and £23 sponsors one of our Mighty Stride walkers

👣 Walk with us by sponsoring a mile, donating, or sharing this message. Together, we can bring hope where it’s needed most.

🗓️ The Countdown to the Kiltwalk Begins! 🥾💜

Help us Turn Our Miles into Their Smiles

In just under 2 weeks, 111 walkers will be walking a massive 2000 miles in total, in support of Megan's Space. They will be walking to raise awareness and crucial funds for our services that help young people when they need it most.

📊 Did you know that 1 in 6 young people experience a mental health problem? Megan’s Space offers free, accessible 1:1 therapy, school-based support, and safe spaces for young people across our community — but we need your help to keep it going. Will you help us turn our miles into their smiles?

🎯 Our goal is to top last years’ total of £11,000 by achieving £20,000 — every pound helps us to provide life-changing support.

💜We would have loved to have had you walk alongside us, if you can’t walk with us in person, you can be with us through your donations.

Sponsor a walker today! £1 per mile: £3 for the Wee Wander, £13 for the Big Stroll, or £23 for the Mighty Stride or any amount large or small!

Every donation counts in making a difference.

In recognition of Children’s Mental Health Week (3rd - 9th February 2025), Megan’s Space is dedicated to supporting the mental well-being of young people. This year’s theme, “Know Yourself, Grow Yourself,” emphasizes the importance of self-awareness in personal development.

We encourage everyone to explore their emotions and understand themselves better to build resilience and foster growth.

In support of this aim we developed the

What's Your Number? campaign.

Simply put if the score 0 represents feeling absolutely desolate and 10 represents peace of mind, calm and joy then the numbers in-between can be classified accordingly.

0 - 3 Red zone: Talk to someone and get help
4 - 6 Amber zone: Life could be better keep an eye on the trend and start talking about how you feel
7 - 10 Green Zone: Life is in the flow and you are coping and joyful

Daily tracking will help you see trends and if you do need to ask for help will allow you to share the journey you have been on. Please do not tolerate low mood and overwhelm for years without seeking help. Oh and this is also relevant for young people and men alike.

Life shouldn't be a burden to be tolerated it should be a magical mystery tour to be enjoyed.
