Unreal week at Hyrox Glasgow 2026 last week.

I am so proud of our members many of whom were competing for the first time!

We seen extraordinary efforts, pain barriers being pushed, excitement levels breached!! PBs smashed, tears, smiles, fears and so much happiness.

This team is an example of what our community is ; driven, supportive and there for each other.

Well done to everyone that took part over the 5 days! Mammoth effort.

Less Padding Leaves colder than expected

This week has been amazing for all of members efforts at the gym and at Glasgow Hyrox as you will see from our stories.

But we have also had members do amazing things this year to raise money for charity including Billy who did a sleepout in Edinburgh last night !

“Cause I’ve lost a lot of the padding I’m concerned hypothermia may set in. If it does, I’m blaming you.”

Billy had some reservations about the challenge before hand…

Nothing but a cardboard box and some SCX Fitness merch had Billy feeling “Hungover without the drink: like the newborn stage” 😂

But he smashed it and has raised an amazing amount of money to provide hostel nights for the Homeless.

🍀 GOOD LUCK TO OUR AMAZING MEMBERS 🍀

This week we have an amazing 23 SCX Fitness members/clients taking part and competing in Hyrox Glasgow 2026.

For many, this is their first competitive fitness event let alone their first Hyrox.

I am in awe most weeks by this amazing group of people in our gym but moments like this have me bursting with pride.

Seeing people who were scared to lift a weight in front of themselves let alone other people are now at a fitness and confidence stage to take on a gruelling event like Hyrox.

Don’t ever think you’re not good enough or you can’t.

You can; with some belief in you and guidance to help, you’ll be amazed at what you are capable of.

Good luck to everyone at Glasgow Hyrox 2026 this week. Enjoy it.

Every Body is different

This weekend I took my daughters to the Glasgow Science museum.

Great place and something fun to do on yet another rainy day!

When finally getting up to the 3rd floor and the biology section this chart was a great reminder of how we are all so so different.

Body’s can be built in so so many different ways but we cannot outrun our biology ; we should embrace it.

Our body types are important to recognise - not because you should give up and quit but because you are not likely to be the same as the person next to you at work, at home, at the gym.

Your optimum, healthy body is going to be very very unique to you.

So work hard. Focus on YOUR best. And gO and achieve YOUR results.

You are UNIQUE and so is YOUR journey.

As you focus on your week so far, what you’ve achieved, failed at, hesitated with, please remember that no one else has ever been in the place you’re in.

They might have done what you’re trying to do, been where you are but how and when and why they did or got there will be entirely different to you.

So don’t steal your own joy away from your accomplishments by comparing to someone else. Just focus on TRYING to be your best. Because if you try your best what else can you do!?
