Sorry I didn’t get round to posting a recap of our lovely classes last week — the past week has been a bit full-on! (Including yesterday morning’s “chase Peaches around the neighbours’ gardens for 20 minutes before work” workout 🥵)

Just a note to say there are still spaces in both of my classes tomorrow morning:

✨What a beautiful class tonight ✨

I usually post at the end of the week, but I just had to share my thoughts tonight as I'm still feeling the gorgeous energy from the studio this evening.

There were 7 of us - small and intimate... We did wonder if there was something going on that we weren’t invited to 😆 However, us ladies — and Murray, of course — had such a lovely practice.

Our chat, laughter, and some thoughtful sharing about asana was lovely and a rarity for me. Apparently our “OM” hit that perfect equal note — the vibration was felt ✨💫 🕉

Thank you Breathe Yoga, Pilates & Wellness in Dunfermline and Fife for giving us this space to connect,
and find a little peace and calm 🙏

🍂 Theme of the week: Letting go

We explored this with a mix of grounding and release — warming up with Happy Baby and Thread the Needle, Downward Facing Dog, plank, Bujangasana (Cobra) - moving through twists and folds to squeeze out the tension, before building strength in Chair (Utkatasana) and One-Legged Chair and we worked towards Lizard (Utthan Pristhasana) with deep quad stretch - all the while taking moments to "let it go" in between 🔥 Finishing in svasana with legs in the air to release, and encourage blood flow back to the heart.

And yes… a couple of the gents told me their hips were ruined by end of class — that’s yoga love, right? 😂 How were your hips feeling the next day?

Despite the autumnal nip in the air, the studio soon heated up — the windows were steaming by the end! 😉

✨ Twists and folds are wonderful for:
✨️easing the spine
✨️helping digestion
✨️creating space to breathe a little deeper — perfect for the season of change.

As always, classes brought such amazing energy 🕉 Thank you for joining me as always 🙏

Our Yang/Yin flow had its own beautiful balance — strong and fiery to begin with, then grounding and deeply relaxing to finish. 🌿

✨ Reflecting on Last Week’s Yoga Classes ✨

We began by finding our breath and calm with a grounding practice called Circle of Joy. From there, we gently stretched and eased into movement—giving some extra care to hips, calves, hamstrings and shoulders.

Our journey included playful Tiger (Vyagrasana), big toe hold (Hasta Uttitha Padangustasana), and the steady unfolding of Ardha Hanumanasana (Half Monkey Pose)—with some working towards the full pose. As always, there were plenty of options so everyone could find their own version that felt just right. 🌿

I’ll admit, I was feeling a little flat last week but the beautiful thing about yoga is that yoga meets us exactly where we are, and the energy in the room never depends on me alone. Each class has its own unique rhythm, and each of you bring something special: your warmth, your presence, and your willingness to move, breathe, and simply show up—that’s what makes every class feel complete. 💛

It was lovely to welcome more people to Saturday Yang/Yin Flow— that gorgeous balance between movement and stillness. The opportunity to move and then lie down for a bit 😊

🦋 Wow!! How time flies! ⏳

When I first started, I was so nervous – just branching out into the big world of teaching 😬🥵

Now, every single person who comes along to class makes my day, makes me feel welcome, comfortable, safe… makes me smile and laugh, and above all, makes my heart burst with appreciation.

Thank you for allowing me to be me, as I completely respect and love every one of you 🙏 ❤️
