Dunfermline has so many great wee independant businesses - and i try my absolute best to support them!!
Yeaterday when i was wondering around the town I noticed a new second hand book shop Twice Told Tales so obviously i HAD to have a look.
I have been looking for the full set of Harry Potters for YEARS! ⚡️ but i never wanted to just buy them online 🤷🏻‍♀️ So you can imagine how happy I was to find them here!

We’ve added another monthly Hot Yin to the studio 🦥

✨ NEW HOT YIN CLASS ADDED ✨

Due to the huge popularity of our monthly Hot Yin with Marissa (currently booked three months in advance!), we’re adding another cosy Hot Yin to the timetable.

🗓 Last Thursday of every month
📍 The Wee Studio

🆕 Suitable for all levels

What is Yin Yoga?
Yin is slow, deep and beautifully grounding. Postures are held for longer, allowing you to gently stretch the deeper connective tissues – fascia, ligaments and joints – helping to improve flexibility, mobility and circulation. It’s also incredibly calming for the nervous system, making it perfect if you feel stressed, wired or tired but can’t switch off.

Why Hot Yin?
Practising Yin in a warm room (heated with infrared lights) allows the body to soften more easily, so you can melt into stretches without forcing. The heat encourages deeper release, helps muscles relax, supports joint health and leaves you feeling lighter, looser and deeply relaxed.

And don’t worry – it’s not as hot as our Hot Yoga or Hot Pilates classes. Think gentle, cosy warmth, the perfect temperature to stretch, breathe and fully unwind.

Expect bolsters, blankets, slow music, long holds and that post-class feeling of being completely relaxed & reset 🩶

🌿 SUNDAY RECAP 🌿

A yoga filled week for me - just how I like it!

In the studio…
Tuesday evening was a busy class with lots of returners and new faces 🥰 we’ve been working on rooting down, and quickly discovering thats yoga code for ‘balance’ 🤭
We are continuing this practice for the next couple of week ⚖️
On Sunday we flowed through our pregnancy yoga. The women who come to their mat on a Sunday are absolute warriors - the strength and empowerment that we build in that hour really is unmatched 🤰🏻💪🏼

Out the studio…
In my own practice I have been both slowing down and spicing it up. A restorative practice on Monday 🦥 and then I worked on a floating figure of 4 on Friday🥵

And on Saturday I had the absolute JOY of heading to Edinburgh and spening time with the 2026 YTTers along with Tanita Lessing Yoga & Movement.
It was so wonderul to meet the 7 beings who are embarking on this yoga journey and have already started to learn their methodologies of teaching. I cannot wait to see them all for their next teaching weekend in Feb.

🤰 Why do yoga while pregnant?
Our class isn’t just a chance to stretch and relax — they’re packed with powerful benefits for you, your body AND your baby:

🌬️ Get to know your breath – we will do calming breathwork to bring you into the present moment, help manage stress now and support you during labour.

🧘‍♀️ Build strength + stability – Our asana sequences, both on floor and standing, can help support your changing body, strengthen key muscles, and can assist in easing some pregnancy aches.

🤎 Connect with your body and baby – Take time each week to tune in, slow down, bond with your little one and show yourself some gratitude!

🤗 Meet other mums-to-be – You’re not in this alone! This time and space is for YOU. For moving, breathing and being, but there’s always a chance for a good yap before and after!

🌸 When can i start? After 14 weeks, right up until full term. Everyone might be at different stages in their pregnancy and that is absolutely fine! You’ll be most welcome.

✨ Whether you’re brand new to yoga or already practicing, this class, and your mat, meets you where you are — it can help you feel stronger, calmer, and more connected. Come along for an hour of empowerment, support and fun! I’d love to see you there!

🥶January Blues🥶

Is this month lasting ages or WHAT?!
After coming out of a very, very busy life period, I had to practice what I preach and SLOW DOWN.
It’s so easy to go into auto pilot and keep going and going and going and going - however this can cause burn out and we don’t want that!! As such, I had to take last Tuesday off from our class to be able to claw back some energy and have been using my time restore and slooooow down - thank you to Susan for covering and to everyone for understanding. 🫶🏼

Now i’m feeling better and this week i am back!
Yesterdays Pregnancy Yoga class was wonderful! I love being a small part of the excitement/anticipation in your big journeys! Our Sunday afternoon community really fills my soul with joy ✨❤️

Tomorrows Beginners Yoga was so busy we added another couple of spaces so no one misses out on their practice. We will be continuing our grounding practice 🪾

New Year, same me, same you, same class 🤩

Yes, it is a brand new year, exciting! But it is still THE DEAD OF WINTER - it was snowing earlier! ❄️ So our Janurary practice is going to be rooted and grounded.
We’ll move with intention, paying good attention to whatever part of us is touching the ground.
Together we will:

🪾 breathe in stillness
🪾 move through a slow flow
🪾 ground down and balance
🪾 really get into our hip positions in our Virabhadrasana3 (warrior 3)
🪾 have fun and NOT judge ourselves 😊

We do the same practice all month so if you are new to the practice, returning or regular I’d love to see you there 🙏🏻🤲🏻

We wanted to wish you a truly wonderful Christmas, however you choose to celebrate it. Whether it’s joyful, busy, quiet, or gently slow, we hope it brings you moments of ease and connection.

Thank you, as always, for your kindness, your support, and for showing up on your mats and Reformers week after week. Your presence in our classes is genuinely gift enough, which makes the cards and thoughtful gestures all the more special. We never take that for granted.

🎄 Nearly there! 🎄

Thank you to everyone who made it to their mat this week 🥰

We breathed, moved and rested through our last Pregnancy Yoga class of the year. We are building such a lovely wee community of mums-to-be 🤰🏻
We are back on the 4th of January!

During our penultimate Beginners Yoga class of the year we worked up some heat 🔥 building core engagement strengthens us literally from the inside out 💪🏼❤️‍🔥 and i love it!
Come along to our last class together for 2025 next Tuesday.

Whatever you are doing this week, I wish you a safe and happy time. I hope you all get to eat nice things, watch terrible (great) films and spend time with those that you love 🎄❤️

Now I am off to wrap some presents 😭 luckily I have some biscoff tablet that the wonderful Sally made to get me through it 🥰
