✨💭 SUNDAY REFLECTIONS 💭✨

Good LORD this week has gone FAST!🏎️💨
I’m not sure if it’s too early to say it but DECEMBER IS ONE WEEK AWAY! How has that happened?! I’ve been dipping my wee toe into the christmas vibes and made a christmas wreath at The Lavender Nook on Friday evening 🎄 it’s not up… yet. But it wont be long! 😏🤶🏼

In the studio this week:
Tuesday evening saw us all together in a busy class at Breathe Yoga, Pilates & Wellness in Dunfermline and Fife continuing our chest opening practice. Some returning faces and some brand new faces 🤩 its always so fun to welcome new people to the studio and sometimes to yoga itself! 🫶🏼Getting out of your comfort zone and hoping on thr mat is half the battle! So keep it going 🙏🏻

Today was my last class at Yoga's Got Hot 🥹 It has been such a joy teaching at this beautiful studio. I have loved getting to know everyone, and flowing, breathing + being with all the women and bumps every Sunday. Thank you so much for joining me today, or at any other of the classes over the last few months 🥰

Of course, I will still be teaching pregnancy yoga on a Sunday at 3pm the Breathe studio.
This class is growing and it’s wonderful welcoming the same faces every week 🙏🏻 If you are thinking about coming along, please do. The class is accessible for you no matter how many weeks you’re at! Come and give yourself an hour - Just 60mins all for you, you deserve it 💛

Happy Sunday everyone 🍂✨

Brrrr🥶 it has been quite chilly this weekend - but the one place I know is nice and cosy is Breathe Yoga, Pilates & Wellness in Dunfermline and Fife 🧡

This week in the studio we have been continuing to work into our chest openers 🫁 taking the time to really find our own feet on the mat and using our breath to open our chest and strengthen our shoulders!
We’ll be continuing this practice for the remainder of November - so come along!

I was back today for our pregnancy flow ✨💖 i simply love taking this class - taking yourself away from partners, kids, parents, jobs, making lists, planning, reading, nesting… for just an hour is exactly what you deserve! The energy created whilst flowing with other strong humans who are also growing little humans is unmatched! 💪🏼💛
I’ll be back next Sunday! Go on, book your mat.

THIS WEEK IN CLASS…
2 great classes at Breathe Yoga, Pilates & Wellness in Dunfermline and Fife this week!

Tuesday we got right into chest openers - exploring virabhadrasana (warrior) 1 with gumaskana (eagle) arms , Bhujangasana (cobra) and Salamba Bhujangasana (sphinx) 🤺🦅🐍
Finishing with a set of ‘zombies’…which is defo the Sanskrit name 🧟‍♀️😂 and THEN Ustrasana (camel) 🐪
PHEW!!
Chest openers are a beautiful way to strengthen our spinal muscles and improve flexibility in our shoulders. They are also a great oppourtunity to fill up those lungs and focus on our breath.
We’ll continue with this all through November!

I covered the Thursday Vinyasa class and OH BOY did we get a sweat on 💪🏼✨ i LOVE the energy that is created in a vinyasa class - the fluidity of movement and synchronising of breath is just so beautiful ❤️‍🔥🌬️✨

The love of my life joined us in BOTH classes this week! 🥰 He has been dipping his toes in the yoga pool for a few years now, but this week was the first time he has come to any of my classes and to the studio! He now has the yoga bug and can’t wait to come back - what a cutie🫶🏼

And today we found out the studio is being recognised as one of the top 3 choices in fife to practice yoga 🧘🏻‍♀️ how exciting?! This wouldnt be possible without all of you who come to your mat week in, week out. Or without the support of our absolute power house: Susan 👸🏻💕

💪🏼 STRONG PRACTICE 💪🏼

What is a strong yoga practice? 🤔
Maybe it’s pinchas, spilts, arm balances, king dancers the list can go on and on - and omg these asanas are 100% super impressive for SURE 🤸🏻‍♂️

But, maybe a strong practice is sitting in stillness when your mind is being mean to you, or pushing yourself to go to class when you’ve had a bad day at work or when its dark/wet outside, or coming on to your mat when you really cannot be fkd.
Strength can look like pushing yourself outside your comfort zone, continuing to practice even though you’re going through turmoil, letting go of your own expectations of yourself.🧎🏻‍➡️🧎🏻‍♀️

We often turn to yoga for the physical benefits, but as we move, the real work goes on inside 🧠❤️‍🩹
