Our cherry blossom only started to bloom a week ago! I was admiring all the others on the street while wondering why ours looked sad with no signs of life at all! All of a sudden the buds started to bloom, I couldn’t believe it.

Natures way of telling me to have patience, not everything blooms at the same time and some things are worth the wait!

I wonder where else we could apply this logic? 😉

🚨 PSA: don’t touch the bump!… well not without permission first🚨

Yes, it’s round. Yes, it’s impressive. No, it does not have a “tap to feel baby kick” feature, and the likelihood of them performing on request is slim to zero!

I know it’s tempting—like spotting a big red button that says “DO NOT PRESS.” Which makes it really hard to resist but… It’s someones stomach… with a tiny human inside… who also didn’t consent to surprise pokes 😅 at what other time in life would you ever think it was ok to randomly touch somebody’s body?

So before your hand goes on a spontaneous adventure, try this revolutionary new move:

My mummy was a wise woman, she always said when things were hard in motherhood “it’s just a phase” a season. She was right. There will be some seasons harder than others but mostly they’re a mixed bag aren’t they.
If you’re in the spring of new beginnings hold tight, it is all consuming, a mixture of pure joy and pure how am I going to get through this, but you will!
Or, if like me you’re entering the season of letting go, the one you didn’t see coming because you were so busy doing it all in the season of endless giving, we’ve got this… I hope 💜

For me, downloading a digital Hypnobirthing course will never get into the nooks and crannies that a one to one in person course will. You won’t get the chance to chat through your hopes and fears, debrief previous experiences, and receive an individualised approach! It might tick a few boxes but does it really cater for YOU and YOUR needs?!

I’ve always loved this fact about the elephant mamas! They birth while surrounded by other female elephants from their herd. Protected and supported by a strong and steady presence. I want you to ask yourself:

🐘 who is your strong and steady presence?
🐘 who can protect your space?
🐘 who will prepare for your birth with you?
🐘 who will listen to what it is that you need and action it?

Talk to your birth partners! Communicate what you need from them. Feeling safe and protected is of upmost importance for your birth. Prepare together and watch how this changes everything!
