It's my birthday today so we've decided to choose a special place for our litter hunt and the Hermitage didn't disappoint. It was truly magical, even in the rain. We followed The Hermitage and Braan Walk and managed to remove a bag full of rubbish - mostly plastic bottles, tissues, cans and wrappers. If you haven't been there yet, add it to your list!

Busy Sunday!
We tidied up the trail from Bennachie Visitor Centre to the Mither Tap, then all the way down to the Rowantree car park and from there the Turnpike Trail back to Visitor Centre.
Lots of small pieces of candy wrappers, tissues, wipes, hairbands and cigarette butts - especially right at the top. Bennachie is looking much better now!

Today we were litter picking at Delgaty Wood near Turriff. What a stunning place! Two bags of rubbish removed from the Ardin Car Park area and further two from the Song Birds Trail. A lot of common forrest culprits - plastic bottles, beer bottles and cans, plastic wrappers. Also some unexpected finds - a box full of sweeties, a boot and an old purse!

Our first litter hunt this evening at our local Scotstown beach. Bigger and smaller plastic pieces, plastic bottles, pieces of fabric and rope, gloves, rubber parts, plastic bags etc. I wish I could say that this was bad idea for a fundraiser because there was no rubbish on this beautiful beach but I can't!
