There’s nothing better than homemade pizza! 🍕 Our residents had a blast making their own pizzas during our recent cooking class, and they were an absolute hit at lunchtime! 😋

What a wonderful Saturday morning we had visiting Big Brekkie in the Thaxted Parish Courtyard! It was lovely to catch up with friends of Humfrey and enjoy hot drinks, laughter, and great company. 💛

Our ladies had a wonderful time out in the garden planting colourful flowers and getting our outdoor space ready for summer. There were lots of smiles, chats, and laughter as everyone enjoyed the fresh air. 🌸☀️

What a treat we had last weekend! 🎶 The wonderful Balsham Choir visited us, filling the home with beautiful music and cheerful singing. Residents were all smiling, tapping along and enjoying every moment. 💛

As part of our “You Said, We Did” initiative, we enjoyed a lovely walk to our local library.
One of our residents mentioned he would love to borrow some new books, so off we went to browse the shelves and choose some great reads to bring back to the home. 📖
It was wonderful to support a resident’s personal interests and spend time out in the community enjoying a gentle walk and friendly conversations along the way.

We were delighted to welcome members of the local church to our home with their monthly service. Their visits are always met with warm smiles and open hearts from our residents, and we truly value the time spent together.

As part of May’s Dignity of the Month theme, Window to the World 🌍, our residents at Humfrey Lodge created a poster showing all the countries our staff come from.
It was a wonderful opportunity to share stories, learn about different cultures, and get to know one another even better.
Our residents expressed how grateful they are for the care, kindness, and dedication they receive every day.
No matter where in the world we come from, we are one community 🤝

The beautiful spring sunshine has encouraged our residents to get outside and stay active ☀️
We’ve been making the most of it with our regular walks, often stopping at the local playground to stretch, move, and enjoy the outdoor gym equipment.
Moments like these bring so much joy and energy to our days 💚

We had a brilliant time in the garden with a friendly darts competition! It was a great chance to get some fresh air, have a laugh, and enjoy a bit of friendly rivalry. Everyone had a fab time cheering each other on! 🏆

Our Dementia Champion board is regularly updated to showcase our residents’ and staff achievements.

Cooking classes are a wonderful way for residents to practise their baking skills and enjoy some sweet treats! 🧁🍰
This time, we made delicious muffins and a lovely cake.
