Happy Birthday to this INCREDIBLE woman.
A mother, a grandmother and all round inspiration.

Having NEVER lifting weights to now comfortably lifting 40kg, she continues to prove that the age limit we have are simply in the mind. πŸ‹οΈβ€β™‚οΈπŸ˜Š

She trained today, on her birthday, setting her 56th year up to be the strongest one shes ever had.

I'm working on my strength now, for a stronger furure.

It's about finding the right balance in YOUR life when it comes to fitness.

YOUR life or lifestyle plays a huge part in creating the right 'balance for you'

A fitness plan that will work for one individual will not work for another.
We all have different commitments, goals and lifestyles.

That's why when you are setting yourself a goal, you have to be realistic to your lifestyle.
You have to make sure your fitness is in balance with your life.
You have to make sure your life scales are balanced.

This picture for me reflects the disappearing waist line, which has been replaced with about 3000 cocktails 🍹
A ton of breakfast pastries πŸ₯
Plus anything else i can get my hands onπŸ€—

But this picture also reflects the much needed BALANCE in my life!

I spent 2 weeks in a beautiful country, with my beautiful family eating beautiful food.
πŸ’― Guilt free.

Why?.... Because, as a personal trainer my 'life of scales fitness' can sometimes tip the other way and my balance is off.

I'm now back to training and healthier eating.
Confident that my waist line will be back in no time.... But even more confident that loosing it for 2 weeks was well worth it! ☺

At what age are you too old to start weight training?

I speak to many women who believe they are too old to start 'working out'.

But at what age is too old to start?

Well if you have breath in lungs and desire to try then there are things to be achieved.

Check out this amazing client who at 48yrs old decided that being over weight and unhealthy was just not gonna cut it, especially as this mumma had become a grandmother.

She wanted to not only be around for her grandchild, but be actively around.... Healthy, Strong & Fit.

Having never weight trained to achieving a very impressive lift of 70kg, this nanna is now the strongest she has EVER been at 48yrs old.

So this happened today......13inch loss! This particular client didn't start a journey into fitness and healthy lifestly...

So this happened today......13inch loss!

This particular client didn't start a journey into fitness and healthy lifestlye for a smaller waist.

Don't get me wrong, shape change and leaner appearance was discussed.

But...this client wanted a heathier MIND.
She wanted help with her daily mental struggles.
She wanted to kick start her day in a way proven to help her MIND.

Because helping her to build her strength, confidence & self belief was my mission, i completely forgot to offer a review on her initial measurements.....

Well, as you can see...... She has 'LOST' 13INCHES whilst 'GAINING' STRENGTH & CONFIDENCE!

The craziest thing, i wasn't even aware of these changes... What i noticed, was the increase in STRENGTH.

My hard working client feeling some of the many benefits from working with an Olympic bar.

We used a 20kg bar and carried out each exercise for 15 reps and repeated this set x3.
