Dunoon on the Move Dunoon on the move continues the excellent work of Dunoon Bothy project supporting people to make more everyday journeys by walking, cycling or wheeling.

Check out our programme of walks, cycles, training and e-bike loans, all supported by a team of trained volunteers. Dunoon on the move is funded by HITRANS and supported by Dunoon Community Development Trust.

On Saturday we had a magnificent turnout for our Guided Walk around Holy Loch Nature Reserve. 15 folk turned up, including people from farflung places such as Gourock, Glasgow and Mexico (they were visiting their Aunt and Uncle and got brought along for a day out!). On Friday myself and volunteer Debz took the Tern and an ebike to Valrose to support The Pop Shop and Dunoon Community Development Trust on their Tour of the Town family day. We had a lovely time watching the kids play with bubbles, we all took part in making plasticine figures for the animation and we utilised the fabulous DCDT branded seating 🤣 all whilst Frank was busy fixing people's bicycles 🚵‍♀️

We finished our buggy walk at the library today, where Iona did some colouring in and Violet looked at a giraffe 🦒
We shared a couple of lovely, vibrant stories and sang a couple of wee songs. On the walk Iona found lots of pretty, colourful flowers and one with leaves that looked and felt like bunny ears 🐰
