📣Patient triage update 📣

In the last 1 month we have triaged on average 1,802 medical enquiries.

53% were allocated face to face appointments (946 appointments)

16% were allocated telephone appointments (285 phone calls)

9% were given advice

6% were signposted to other local services (e.g pharmacies/ A&E)

5% were given prescriptions only

The remaining % were dealt with in an admin capacity

98.5% of the medical triages were seen, actioned and completed within 1 hour of patient submission

99.3% of admin triages were completed in 24 hours of patient submission

We have >20 routine doctor face to face appointments available within 2 weeks, and >65 routine phone consultations with doctors.

We are always looking to improve but over the last year of triage we really have seen huge improvements in speed of access to our team.

A big thank you to all our team for making this possible on a daily basis 😁👍🏻🎉👩🏼‍⚕️🧑🏻‍⚕️

REMINDER "National Data OPT-OUT" of sharing Health Records

For awareness, we have contacted a relatively small cohort of our patients to ask them to consider changing their status to "National Data OPT-IN".

Why is this important? NHS England are driving programs, Segmentation is one, where in order to produce accurate results it requires our patients to OPT-IN to Research & Healthcare Planning.

These programs benefit our patients in providing better insights to their care.

Many patients will be unaware of their "National Data OPT-IN/OUT" status.

Many patients will be concerned about there data being shared outside the NHS Framework.

By patients OPTING-IN their data is shared with trusted NHS Research & Planning organisations however, it is not shared to other 3rd parties (e.g. Insurance, Marketing, etc.).

Resources / Further Information:
• “Opt out of sharing your health records” https://www.nhs.uk/.../opt-out-of-sharing-your-health.../
• “National Data Opt-Out” Service https://digital.nhs.uk/services/national-data-opt-out
• “Choose if data from your health records is shared for research and planning” https://www.nhs.uk/your-nhs-data-matters/

Find out how data from your health records can help with research and planning, and choose if you want to share your data.
