When your child makes a mistake, you make them feel stoopid for all eternity.
But for our children, here's the remedy
Leading them to repentance
Confront the truth with love. Because their life is important and so is our relationship.
Tough love protocol;
Show them they messed up and the consequences. Ultimately seperation from God and his other children.
We don't want them to do it again but they afraid they will
Show them how to break the cycle, they hurt themselves or others and let them feel the weight of it. Confess our own failures.
They need supernatural help to change, so do we.
We show them how to seek God's will for their life in the Bible. Search scripture and listen to God's calling.
Tell them their identity in God's eyes. We are not our mistakes and can be forgiven.
Jesus takes our shame and suffering and gives us hope
We gain power over our own life avoiding destruction
We spiritually battle everyday in areas of our weakness
We hold each other accountable with heartfelt prayer
We repeat the process and build community
Generational curses and demonic forces are broken off
Faith is flexed
God gets the glory
Spare the rod of discipline and spoil the child!
