Our first Alpaca Felt Workshop was a huge success! 🦙🎨
Five amazing children joined us for a creative day, meeting the alpacas and making their very own felted portraits. Each child showed incredible focus and talent — and the results were absolutely fantastic! The alpacas even posed with their woolly lookalikes. 💕
We’re so proud of our young artists! 🌟

When this lovely little girl first visited us back in May, she arrived with her headband with pink pom poms . Chico 🦙 fell in love with her and was fascinated with her headband . I’m sure he thought she was an alpaca .
Today she attended our morning keeper session and to my absolute delight gave me a present …… my very own headband with Pom poms . I don’t think Zeno looks impressed 🤔🦙

Due to the success of our first workshop , we are delighted to announce that we are hosting another beginners felting workshop for both adults and kids here at Anvil Alpacas of Durham . (Based at Old Cassop ,Durham)

Today was the August Felt workshop with felt designer Helen from In knots and Stitches! The group made some fabulous Alpacas with inspiration from Andreas, Chico, Zeno & Pablo!

The group crafted stunning examples of these beautiful animals whilst enjoying our new facilities in the Alpaca lounge! This included refreshments, homemade cake and beautiful views, including views of the alpacas in the field whilst crafting for additional inspiration!

This was an amazing day and we cannot wait to host the next session in September!
If you would be interested in joining us for such a memorable experience and to take your own handmade alpaca home with you, please contact us via the website!

Next Date planned is the 20th September - we will be running an adults only session on the morning (10-12:30) and children’s version on the afternoon (2-4:30pm)

The first little chick arrived 2hours ago here at Camp Paca. She is named ‘Francesca’ after the girl who saw her hatch and got to give the chick its first cuddle 🥰🐣🦙
