💜 World Fibromyalgia Awareness Day 💜
12 May
Today we recognise World Fibromyalgia Awareness Day and stand with the many people living with fibromyalgia.
Fibromyalgia is a long‑term condition that can cause widespread pain, fatigue, sleep problems and cognitive difficulties—often with symptoms that are invisible to others. Living with fibromyalgia can be challenging, and understanding and support are essential.
Today is about raising awareness, reducing stigma, and reminding people that they are not alone.

💜 Maternal Mental Health Awareness Week 💜
Becoming a parent can bring joy, but it can also feel overwhelming — and that’s okay.
During Maternal Mental Health Awareness Week, we want to remind mums and birthing people that you’re not alone, and support is available.
💜 Perinatal mental health problems can affect anyone
💜 Help is available during pregnancy and after birth
💜 Talking about how you feel is a strength, not a weakness
If you’re struggling, please reach out to a healthcare professional or a trusted support service.

The Maternal Mental Health Alliance (MMHA) is a UK charity and network of 160 organisations, dedicated to ensuring women and birthing people affected by perinatal mental health problems have access to high-quality, compassionate care

🧠 Stroke Awareness Month – May 💙
This Stroke Awareness Month, we’re raising awareness of the signs of stroke and how acting FAST can save lives.
Remember FAST:
✅ Face – is there facial drooping?
✅ Arms – can they raise both arms?
✅ Speech – is speech slurred or confused?
✅ Time – call 999 immediately
A stroke is a medical emergency. The quicker treatment starts, the better the chance of recovery.
💙 Share this post — it could help save a life.

🩺 Raised blood pressure is the number one cause of preventable death worldwide.
The good news? A quick squeeze of the arm can help save lives.
Checking your blood pressure regularly is one of the simplest ways to protect your health. Monitoring at home is ideal, but if you don’t have a machine, you can easily get your blood pressure checked at your local chemist or at your GP surgery.
✅ Quick
✅ Painless
✅ Potentially life‑saving
Don’t wait for symptoms — know your numbers.
