Sauna this Saturday???
First time sauna goer or seasoned pro, take some time to relax, recharge and feel reinvigorated from the benefits of a traditional Finnish woodfired sauna at the beach.

We’re away for this coming weekend. A long planned trip to the mountains.

We often get asked “why wear a sauna hat?”. Far from being a quirky trend, sauna hats have been used for centuries in Northern Europe and are a standard and traditional part of authentic Finnish sauna culture, having a very practical use.

By insulating your head from the highest temperatures at the top of the sauna, a sauna hat protects your hair and scalp, keeps your head cool and allows you to enjoy the sauna for longer, more comfortably.

Sauna hats are typically made from wool felt, a natural material that is antibacterial and resistant to dirt and odours, whilst offering excellent thermal insulation.

We are excited and proud to share, that we have been recognised by the British Sauna Society as an approved operator, meeting national standards for authentic, high-quality sauna experiences!

At the time of writing this post, only 14 other operators have been approved in the UK, so we feel incredibly proud to be amongst the first handful of sauna companies to be recognised. Our recognition as an Approved Operator signifies that we have met the required standards for the authenticity, safety, design quality, inclusivity and integrity of our sauna.

The promotes and develops British sauna culture, to make its physical, mental and social health benefits accessible to more people across the United Kingdom.
