My journey into mental health started early, as I saw close family members struggle with both physical and psychiatric issues.
I became a carer for my mother, and after her death when I was just 14, my world turned upside down.
By 17, I moved away to university, but the cycle of abuse continued, and at 19, I found myself trapped in an unhealthy relationship.
I left everything behind to escape emotional, financial, and eventually physical abuse, only to face my own battle with emotional instability and EUPD.
I struggled with jobs, relationships, and ultimately with my mental health.
After losing a close friend to su***de and battling my own substance abuse and agoraphobia, I began a journey of self-discovery.
I enrolled in a psychology degree, but struggled through multiple setbacks, including attempts on my life. Despite all of this, I graduated at 32.
It was then that I discovered Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy (CBH), and my life began to change.
The therapeutic techniques that once seemed foreign to me finally clicked, and for the first time, I experienced lasting improvements in my mental health.
With this new approach, I not only healed but found a deep passion for helping others who had faced similar struggles.
Now, as the Director of Private Reflection Therapy, I combine a variety of psychological interventions such as CBT, CBH, DBT, and ACT to help others build emotional resilience and stress management skills.
My goal is to guide you through the same healing process that changed my life and to show that recovery is possible, even when you feel like it’s out of reach.
