Social Prescribing can help you with isolation by finding things to do in your local area. Come along to our Social Prescribing Day Celebration Wednesday 19th March, 10-3pm on Level 3 of Princes Quay. There will be over 40 organisations all offering things to do and ways to help and there will be taster sessions throughout the day to try for free.

⭐️Please share my page with your family and friends for more information and tips on healthy aging⭐️

Exercise snacking is a new approach to fitness that makes exercise much more accessible, especially for older adults.

If you struggle to find the time to exercise, have low motivation or you’re not ready for longer workouts—exercise snacking can help you stay healthy, fit & strong in a way that works for you!

This snack is the heel raise. You can perform this exercise seated or standing.

Make sure your feet are hip-width apart and you are sitting or standing in good posture, with support if needed. Lift and lower the heels slowly with control.

This exercise is great for improving calf strength and supporting everyday movements like walking and climbing stairs. Stronger calf muscles can also help with standing for long periods and better balance.
