This is

This is a full year of work.

A year with no crash diets.

Just consistency and focus.

Gray works full time as a teacher and also picks up a second job during the holidays.

Busy doesn’t even begin to cover it.

And yet this year he:
• Completed an exercise every day in December challenge
• Started competing in a local squash league (and recently got promoted)
• Took up padel tennis
• Hit multiple PBs at Park Run
• Lost just shy of 3 stone for his wedding later this year

This is what happens when you have structure and accountability — even when life is busy.

It doesn’t need to be perfect.

Just consistent.

If you’re busy, juggling work, family, and life — this is proof you don’t need more time.

6 weeks have flown by!!

So, I thought I’d share a few thoughts about being a parent to a new born again.

Here are the 4 biggest ones:

1️⃣ Actual Function Fitness is not the Hyrox running and throwing a ball against a wall 100 times…

It is 👉🏼 Farmers carries, squats and any/all single-arm strength.
You’re carrying hospital bags, getting up and down off the sofa with a baby attached to you, and holding them in one arm for half the day.
Functional fitness doesn’t get more real than that.

2️⃣ Don’t underestimate the power of a nap.
Newborn sleep is unpredictable at best and we all know you’re supposed to sleep when the baby sleeps. So, take the quick nap as it can genuinely fix your day. Sleep drives fat loss, muscle gain, appetite, mood — basically everything.

3️⃣ You’re going to be forced to become efficient
Learn to habit stack so that you can be more productive. Netflix can wait for those midnight feeds. Use your time wisely during daylight hours. If you’re trying to get yourself fit, strong and healthy, then this kind of clarity is a cheat code for consistency.

4️⃣ Time will be at a premium, so just move.
Long workouts and uninterrupted time will be rare or non-existent. So, the next best thing is staying active in the time you do have.
Wear your smartwatch — you’ll be shocked at how many steps you rack up settling the baby or pacing the house.
Walks with the pram, laps of the living room, carrying the baby while moving around… it all adds up.
When training time disappears, your steps become your anchor.

I’ve absolutely loved it when I was working with Isabelle .

When we got started, her goals were simple but powerful:

1. A more toned middle section
2. A reduction in weight
3. To look AND feel happy

She’s a keen runner 🏃🏼‍♀️ and didn’t want her performance to drop while losing body fat. That meant no crash diets, no slashing calories stupidly low, no living in the gym.

Here’s what we did instead:
- No calorie tracking → just smarter decisions about intake vs output
- More protein + more low-calorie swaps in the house
- Just 2 full body sessions per week → consistent, not obsessive
- Adjustments when niggles cropped up, so nothing stopped her from making progress

And the results?
✔️ More toned middle section
✔️ One stone lost and kept off
✔️ Feeling genuinely happy in her own skin (swipe to see all the photos 😌)

Negative thoughts will drag you backwards.

Positive thoughts will lift you up.

If you’re constantly talking yourself down, doubting your progress, or convincing yourself it won’t work… then how can you expect to feel good, stay motivated, or move forward?

When you shift your focus to what is working, the small wins you’ve had, and the progress you’re capable of, you start to build momentum.

And momentum is everything.

👉 Put yourself in a positive environment.
👉 Surround yourself with people who want to see you win.
👉 Do more of the things that make you feel good.

Feed on the positives. And build the energy that drives you forward.

2 stone down this summer 👊

Gray heads into his new school year weighing less than he did at the start of the last one!!! What a win!!

He’s been unbelievably consistent! (“Consistency” - the only magic pill 💊 )

Even around holidays, busy commitments, planning a wedding and everything else life throws at him…

He has still found a way to get his steps in, get his training done, and stay on track.

Consistency has been his superpower 🦸

And the result? 2 stone gone — and a whole new level of energy heading back into the classroom.

To all my clients that I recommend Babybels to as a little snack 👉🏼 I’m not slagging them off 😅

I actually really like them, as you will know. But that’s why I’m using this example.

You’d think “Mini Protein Babybels” must be the higher-protein, better option to buy, right? Except it only has 0.2g more protein than the “Light” version.

0.2g

Yep - 0.2g

They’re not wrong though, it does have 0.2g more protein…

But that’s basically nothing.

👉🏼 Moral of this story/post: Don’t just trust the front of the pack. Flip it over and read the label. The marketing can make things look much more impressive than they are.

You don’t have to flip your whole life upside down to see the results you crave.

In fact, most people overcomplicate it.

You’re probably closer than you think 💭

It could be as easy as:
- Drink more water.
- Add protein to each meal.
- Walk a little more.

Simple changes → big impact.

Start small, win early, build momentum.
That’s how long-term results are made.

Dave’s a barber 💈
On his feet all day 🦶
Always moving 💇‍♂️

But the weight wasn’t shifting — until he had a plan.

With some direction and accountability, Dave dropped 2 stone in just over 8 weeks 💪🏼

He didn’t follow a crash diet.
He didn’t start training twice a day.

We simply:

Set a daily step target (that fit his job)
Built his meals around protein
Kept him hydrated and consistent

That’s it. No fads, nothing extreme.

Just consistency and accountability.

Now, he’s leaner, fitter, and more confident — and still enjoying his life.

If you’re busy, on your feet all day, but not getting results, it’s probably not effort you’re missing.

It’s direction and that accountability.
