A little highlight of some of the items I make and sell for prompt "What I Make". I love designing new patterns and seeing the items take form. And a big challenge is finding the right materials - they have to be made from natural fibres or recycled materials!!!

I attended as an exhibitor at the weekend and it has given me a new drive to see my ideas come to life!

"Behind the scenes"

was today's prompt for and to be honest I was reluctant to post. Seeing other craft businesses with beautiful photos and equally amazing craft spaces was off putting. However, I have decided to be as honest as possible and show that some people may not have all their ducks in a row, and that's real life! And that's ok too. I hope this resonates with some of you.... And perhaps one day I will be able to do this again, showing off my own beautiful craft space 🌠

🎄 Something New 🎄 at last!!!

I am now a mum to 3, and life is super busy. Maternity leave with your third baby is very different to your first. But one thing that is similar, is all the thinking time you have when you are feeding your baby at 3am, which means I have been giving my business a lot more attention and thought recently. I am happy to say I am back creating and will be refreshing my Etsy shop and adding new products.

Here is my first new addition - a lovely granny square style hanging Christmas tree ornament. I have 5 different colour combos using soft 100% cotton yarn.

Happy Friday! Not much sunshine today but this hoop brings a little 🌞 I have used yellow, blue and green cotton on hessian. I really try and use natural fibers that will biodegrade and not have a long lasting impact on our planet!

Happy Wednesday! It is October already, where has the time gone!? I have been uploading more products to my Etsy shop - this needle punch hoop is one of them! I love needle punch, and most of my pieces are abstract landscapes. This one I have called "Rocky Moss" as moss and lichen were my inspiration.

Natural Home decor

Hello, my name is Chanel and I am based in Southampton, UK. I crochet and sew home decor items such as throws and cushion covers - I love a good cushion cover! I started crocheting and sewing more seriously just a couple of years ago, however, I learnt as a child and always had a dream of having a handmade business.

I started crocheting again as a stress relief while completing my teacher training. The process of following a pattern, trial and error and then finally completing an item is extremely therapeutic. I am now a stay at home mum, working to build my small handmade business.

The home decor items I make are simple in design but aesthetically pleasing to the eye, and bring a sense of style to your home. I am very passionate about how we can reduce waste, therefore, I am determined to introduce natural, eco-friendly and biodegradable materials. I will be replacing any man-made fibres with natural alternatives from sustainable sources. The packaging I use will also be 100% recyclable in the near future.
