My name is Stefan Carl-McGrath, and I have been working with clients in various settings, including NHS Services, since 2019. After initial training in Person Centred Counselling, I switched to Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy, in which I have completed four years of formal training. Transactional Analysis, sometimes shortened to TA, is one of the major humanistic approaches, and it is widely recognized and used across the globe.

​I have an academic background in computer science, and a varied career in creative and technical industries such as theatre, film production and live events. However, human interaction, leading teams and developing individuals have always been the part of my work, for which I've had the most passion. For this reason, I began perusing a career change in 2015.​

I am a registered member of UKATA (UK Association for Transactional Analysis) and EATA (European Association for Transactional Analysis).​

All my work is under ongoing supervision by qualified and accredited supervisors. I am fully insured and registered with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).​

I have lived in Australia, Germany and Great Britain for many years. I am fluent in German and English.​
