Chrissie first joined Curves in 2018 after bumping into a friend who looked noticeably fitter, healthier and happier. When she heard the secret was Curves, she knew she had to try it โ especially loving the idea of a flexible, full-body workout in a supportive women-only environment.
Chrissie admits she never saw herself as a โgym personโ, but has always enjoyed being physically active for fitness and wellbeing.
Chrissie told us she was anxious at first due to her physical issues concerning incontinence, but from the moment she met Michelle she felt Curves was the right place for her and decided to give it a go.
She actually joined a different gym about 30 years ago but decided during the induction it was not for her.
โFor me, working out is about so much more than fitness,โ she says. โItโs vital for my mental health which I struggle with, and even on tough days I know a workout will help. Over the years I have grown stronger, more flexible and more confident.โ
As Kay often reminds me my original goal was to reach 100 workouts โ now, seven years later, I have completed more than 700.
Chrissie loves the Curves community, and some of her favourite machines include the shoulder press, Ab/back, chest/back and leg extension.
Her advice to anyone thinking about joining Curves? "Just do it, without a doubt! I sing Curves' praises all the time. There's absolutely nothing negative about coming."
Chrissie's journey is a true testament to what Curves is all about - strength, confidence and community. Well done Chrissie!
