As we approach June we launch an appeal to help us to help more veterans living with Dementia. Every penny raised will be spend on supporting Veterans living with Dementia. Whatever you can give would be appreciated

Veterans Dementia Support UK is a small but growing charitable organisation dedicated to supporting members of the Armed Forces and Emergency Services community who are living with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, or memory loss.

We are undertaking a UK wide project exploring the care and support of Veterans living with Dementia from the time of arrival in A&E through the time on the wards, and the discharge process.

We are aware that this is a frightening experience for those who have served our Country and are now living with dementia and we need feedback from family and NHS staff on how this affects you and what changes are needed.

As we continue to struggle with the heatwave consider those living with dementia whose medication can also affect them in extreme heat. Drink Plenty and if they not fussed on drinks then ice lollies and ice creams are a great subsitute

Starting on Monday 1st June - by popular demand our new Memory Café including a carers support session - a new approach for Veterans Living With Dementia across the South East and South West of England.

If you can't come on the 1st then come and join us on Tuesday 26th May at 230pm for our other Memory Café and join in the fun

Breaking down barriers and moving forward in a clear and positive way.

We have seen increased participation in groups since we changed names and greater responses.

This is why Veterans Dementia Support UK matters now and in the future and why we deliver these services 7 days a week.

For every veteran of the Armed Forces, Merchant Navy and Emergency Services we have proved that we are meeting their needs by being here, answering literally 100s of emails and calls every week, by engaging for change during periods of hospitalisation and boosting confidence of those living with Dementia and also their loved ones who care for them.
