Have you heard of Parent/CarerLine? It’s a new SMS text service for parents/carers of children aged 5 to 16 in Aneurin Bevan University Health Board206 for advice and support with your child's health and wellbeing.

Our nurses can help with a range of physical and emotional health issues, including: Emotional Wellbeing, Toileting, Immunisations, Low Mood, Exam Stress, Self Harm, Behaviour, Relationships, Healthy Eating & more.

** Texts are replied to Monday - Friday 8:30 - 16:30 (excluding bank holidays) If you need help in the meantime, visit GP out of hours by calling NHS 111. If it is an emergency, dial 999 or visit A&E.

New artwork installed at the Bevan Health & Wellbeing Centre, Tredegar

Visitors to the lower ground entrance at the Bevan Health and wellbeing centre, are now treated to the striking Michael Sheen picture which has been recently hung in the building.

The image was created last year by the talented Nathan Wyburn during the official opening of the centre in Tredegar. It depicts Michael Sheen when he starred as Aneurin ‘Nye’ Bevan in the critically acclaimed National theatre play in 2024-2025.

Young Artists help brighten YAB Hospital Sanctuary and spread joy

We were blessed at YAB Hospital, to receive a visit from some of the wellbeing ambassadors from Ebbw Fawr Secondary Phase school, Ebbw Vale this week.

The students spread a little Easter joy, as they gave out easter egg decorations and lollypops to patients and staff at the hospital.

Our chaplain, Sue has invited the school children to create a piece of artwork for the hospital sanctuary, exploring themes of peace, hope and kindness.

The photo shows the blank space where the children’s creation will soon be displayed. We look forward to sharing the finished artwork as it arrives and make the sanctuary an even more welcoming and reflective place for patients, visitors and staff of all beliefs.

The YAB League of Friends visited us this week with a wonderful chocolate donation for all our staff and patients at Ysbyty Aneurin Bevan Hospital.
The BG NCN team helped to distribute the welcome donations throughout YAB hospital yesterday, spreading smiles and cheer with their bunny ears and easter decorated trolley.
Many thanks to YAB League of Friends for their kindness and constant support.
