PLEASE TAKE NOTE:

We’ve had a look at the weekend forecast and it’s a bit of a mixed bag depending on where you look. Netweather are showing high chances of rain on Saturday, but the Met Office — which tends to be the more reliable source — is giving us sunshine and cloud with less than 5% chance of rain through the day.

So for our purposes, we’ll be trusting the Met Office outlook. Keep a brolly handy just in case, but it looks like we should be in for a fine day. But then - that's what the Marquees are for ;)

Stonefield Close – Our Community Spirit

Despite everything we’ve had to face here at Stonefield Close, one thing has always shone through—our community spirit. The laughter, the marquee days, the gatherings on the benches, the themed events, and the simple act of looking out for each other are what make this place feel like home.

Recently, I’ve been in touch with Anchor Housing’s senior management to make sure they understand what we’ve built here. Not the problems—they already know those—but the positives. I’ve invited them to see for themselves, through this very page, how we’ve come together as a community in the face of challenge.

Stonefield Close isn’t defined by neglect or division. It’s defined by neighbours who pull together, share a laugh, raise a glass, and create something worth being part of. That’s the message I’ve taken right to the top.

Thank you to everyone who has helped make Stonefield Close more than just a row of houses—it’s a proper community, and that’s something worth shouting about.

Stonefield Close – A Pirate’s Tale!

Well shipmates, it seems Stonefield Close has now got its very own pirate legend!
Over the past few weeks I’ve been working with a bit of new-fangled wizardry (AI, they call it) to bring to life a sea shanty and a string of pictures for our own Captain Patch Addams – ghoulish pirate, pyrotechnic rogue, and most-missed member of the “Extended Addams Family.”

Between myself and my AI first mate “Quinn,” we sketched out verses, timed them to music, and painted fiery pictures of Patch and his ghostly crew. From “Cannons of chaos and rockets of doom” to “One night the moon dared to mock his fame,” each line has been turned into a scene of pirate mayhem.

I’ll be stepping into the role of Captain Patch Addams myself (aye, with eyepatch and all!) for our next gathering — so when you hear the shanty booming and see the fireworks light the sky, you’ll know Stonefield Close has officially gone full pirate.

No subscription needed, no studio in London — just a bit of imagination, some clever AI tools, and a dash of Stonefield spirit. ⚓🔥 Hope you all enjoy this original - one of a kind - Sea Shanty ;)

📢 MARQUEE DAY POSTPONED

Despite this being the hottest summer on record, the forecast for this weekend’s Marquee Day is 70–80% chance of heavy rain throughout the day.

So, rather than everyone getting a soaking, we’ve rescheduled for Saturday 6th September when the weather is looking much better.
