Excited to start this treatment with another approach

After gaining a few qualifications on Thai Yoga Stretch and Thai Stretch on the table a few years ago I am offering this at my salon in Edinburgh from October in a more regular basis.

I do perform this treatment usually as a Combo with Deep Tissue massage, however I have created a series of routine movements for you to have every week if you like 🙌

Stretches are a very important part for our body's to recover,avoid injuries, earn range of motion and flexibility amongst other benefits

Have you heard of this word ASMR?
An autonomous sensory meridian response 🙄😃

Like in every industry I guess, new techniques, combos of all of those, fancy names for treatments, the try of new things made from old things that are done already, catchy performances from massage therapists performing a treatment 😵‍💫 ... and paying lots of money for those "Trendy" treatments 🙆‍♀️yes it is happening and I am realising of this, something that I never thought before.

I have listed in my services an
ASMR Scalp Massage.

ASMR Scalp massages are done in many places using many tools now, fair enough I sometimes use myself one Scalp massager but for instance,🪶🪶 "feathers" is one of the last techniques used for this (very tingling sensation)

✅Cutting short and without any criticism at all for everything is out there from this little post, my Scalp massage is done with my hands to relax the neck muscles the same as we need to relax our body or face muscles.
✅The improvement of blood flow to the head is very important, the muscles on the neck and chest (pecks area) hold a lot of tension that majority of people are not aware of it.
✅ Headaches, facial tension, sore neck, insomnia are causes of tightness on the muscles from the head area and unfortunately we are All suffer from those at some point.

✅ The sensory part? Head massage will Switch On your Parasympathetic nervous system, part of your Autonomic Nervous system that will calm your body and mind, will promote rest and will help your body to restore

So that's my post today, hope it makes sense and for you all know I do offer Scalp massage in my 2 locations

Maderotheraphy in Edinburgh salon for the past 2 days ☺️

I recently got my qualification for this treatment of Wood Therapy (Maderotheraphy) Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage (curious more than anything for what I was seeing and researching of this treatment) becoming very popular now in Spas and salons.
However, I don't have it yet listed in my treatments list why?

These types of treatments that have 2 goals:

🪵Sculpt, contour and define your body
🪵 Help with lymph fluid that can cause swelling, bloating.

As a massage therapist myself (not a beautician) my goal and love is for the health side part, if esthetics comes that's a bonus but helping with body issues,aches and pains is my main goal.

The lymphatic system is one of the most important systems on our bodies and the difference with the circulatory system is that it doesn't have a Pump to keep it moving ( circulatory system has the ❤️) so the lymph fluid needs another methodes to flow.

If the lymph system doesn't work properly then is when We have a problem 😕

So cutting short in the post I have been doing this week my personal Trials for this treatment before put it out there.
I want feedback from clients and treat different bodies with different issues.

Health comes first, beauty is the bonus 🥰
