It's been a short while, but just taking this opportunity to say a really big personal thank you to the team at Bluebird for the incredible care you provided for mum, during her time at home this last year and in her last days with us.
Today, a year ago that care journey began, and I send a special thanks to you Sarah for managing the transition for mum from Newhaven rehabilitation back home, where she was longing to be. It was a real task to make this happen before my sister travelled to New Zealand for Xmas last year, but I know she was truly grateful and relieved to know mum was home and settled before she left, and that was down to your great work and understanding.
And to the whole team who were there for mum, for all her care needs, both physical and social, for spending time with dad and getting to know the family, we are so grateful. For your deep care, compassion and the energy you always brought to mum and the family, we cannot thank you enough.
And it was so nice to see a few familiar faces at mum's service, and we thank you for the time that must be so precious with the busy Bluebird schedules and commitments.
So just a big thanks again to all, I know we'll stay in touch (we still have dad, to consider :))

Bluebird Care (Lewes District, Brighton & Hove) is a leading home care and live-in care provider with a largely private customer base, looking after customers across the Lewes District area and the City of Brighton & Hove.
Michelle & Gary Johnson started the Lewes District office in July 2011 with Michelle’s parents as the Company’s first customers. The couple have lived in Sussex for over 30 years and have raised their family in the County and are honoured to be able to serve the community providing community, home based care.
In July 2017, the couple bought the neighbouring Bluebird Care (Brighton & Hove) territory and have worked hard to amalgamate the two offices and carer teams. Now employing in excess of 100 local people who provide care to around 170 people in the community, the Company prides itself on having a personal touch and ‘keeping it very local’! Michelle & Gary are supported by an amazing team of carers and office staff who together are very proud to be able to keep people living safely in the comfort of their own homes.
In their spare time, the couple enjoy good company, great music and film and lots of laughter! Gary also a serves as a navigator for the RNLI and is an active part of the Newhaven Lifeboat crew.
