Last month we announced our exceptional winners for the annual Celebrating Success Awards, but we also want to shine a light on our incredible runners up.

The Senior Charge Nurse Team in Older People’s Mental Health (OPMHS) was nominated for their innovative efforts to improve recruitment and retention by creating a supportive environment for newly qualified nurses (NQNs), including a 12-month development programme and stronger university partnerships. Their work has significantly boosted staffing levels, enhanced student placements, and revitalised the service’s ability to deliver person-centred care.
