We are so excited to announce a great new chapter for the Leith Toy Hospital! From the 22nd of September, we will be moving into our new studio space based in Musselburgh. Just 6 miles from our original studio in Leith, you won't have to travel too far to find us either. We'll still be the Toy Hospital you know and love, with more space to repair your beloved toys. We're taking great care to transfer all our teddy and dolly patients to the new wards over the coming weeks. You will be able to reach us by email and telephone using the same contact information, and a member of our team will be available at the original studio up until the 22nd of September. We had the privilege of restoring Candy, a lovely dog on wheels back to health this summer. We give our condolences to her owner Lee’s family with her passing.

We hope that Candy will bring her family joy for many years to come and we thank them for the lovely photo of Candy and Lee in their youth.

We’ve seen our fair share of pink bears over the years but never quite so vibrant! The clothes she wore did a fab job keeping her colour safe and sound.
We plan to restore Lois to her former glory and she will eventually be up for adoption.

Leith Toy Hospital - Bear repairs and more

Do you or your child have a favourite cuddly toy who’s just been loved and cuddled that bit too much? A teddy full of holes, a bear with missing limbs, or someone who’s just lost their smile? Don’t panic! Here at Leith Toy Hospital I’ve seen worse! I can give them a careful operation (under anaesthetic of course), and make sure that they come back to you healthy and strong enough to withstand many more years of love and hugs. We carry out teddy repairs every day ranging from much loved childrens’ toys to antique bear restoration.

I make toys all day every day, so have a very thorough understanding of how they are made. Favourite cuddlies are the centre of a child’s world, and it can very upsetting when they become damaged. I know how important it is that retain the same character and expression, so will make absolutely sure that this is preserved.

TEDDY REPAIRS WE CAN DO:


  • Surface clean – £10-30
