🌟 Well Done Glasgow Team! 🌟

Our Glasgow Coordinator, Ylenia, recently worked closely with a service user's family during a challenging time, ensuring concerns were listened to, acted on promptly, and handled with care. She has been praised for her consistent professionalism, compassion, and clear communication. Her commitment to both service users and staff has helped rebuild trust and made a significant impact to their experience of our service.

We also want to commend our Care Assistant, Brogan, for her outstanding vigilance during a recent visit. After noticing unfamiliar individuals near our service user’s key safe, Brogan acted immediately to prevent access, remained on site to ensure safety, and followed all procedures by contacting the office and supporting the police. Her calm, quick thinking potentially prevented a very serious situation.

Following this, Ylenia took immediate action by instructing a code change and issuing guidance to all staff to reinforce key‑safe safety measures.

We are incredibly proud of Ylenia and Brogan, and of the wider team, including our Quality Officer Sam, who has been praised for “being a delight to talk to”. Well done team for putting safety, dignity, and professionalism first. Their actions truly reflect the values of Call‑In Homecare and the standard of care we strive to provide every day. 💜

Today we are also wishing all our Christian colleagues, friends, and service users a blessed and meaningful Lent. 🙏

May this season of reflection, renewal, and compassion bring peace and strength to you and your loved ones.

Did you know?! Lent lasts for 40 days to reflect the 40 days Jesus spent fasting in the desert, a time symbolising preparation, focus, and spiritual growth.

Whether you observe Lent through prayer, fasting, reflection, acts of kindness, or simply taking a moment to pause, we’re thinking of you. ⛪

✨ Edinburgh North - Celebrating Great People & Great Feedback! ✨

We are delighted to recognise some fantastic moments across our Edinburgh North team:

🎉 Rebecca S - 5 Years of Service
A huge congratulations to Rebecca, our dedicated North East Care Assistant, who has celebrated her five‑year milestone with us. Rebecca received a gift in recognition of her continued commitment and the amazing care she provides. Thank you for everything you do, Rebecca!

🌟 Shout‑out to Jan - North West Carer
We received some lovely feedback from a service user:
“I really like Jan, she is an excellent carer. She is very thorough and knows her stuff!”
Well done, Jan, your professionalism and high standards are shining through.

💛 Wonderful Feedback for Care Assistant, Billie:
During Billie’s competency check, we heard wonderful feedback from a long‑term client who can sometimes find changes difficult. He shared how extremely happy he is to have Billie visiting, and it was heartwarming to see him singing, smiling, joking and completely at ease.
As our Coordinator, Emma, was leaving, the building warden approached her to tell us how nice, respectful and hard‑working Billie has been while supporting the tenants there. Amazing work, Billie, you’ve made a great impact!

Shout Out Edinburgh South! 🌟

We received fantastic feedback from one of our service users who shared how excellent our new Edinburgh South Care Assistant, Godday, was while covering a run.

This compliment is especially meaningful, as she can often feel reserved around male carers, so her positive feedback shows just how attentive, respectful, and reassuring Godday was. Amazing work, Godday. Your attentiveness and compassion has truly made a difference! 👏💜

Another big shoutout goes to our amazing Office Quality Officer, Natasha! She’s been such a fantastic addition to the team, always supportive, eager to learn, and willing to step in wherever she’s needed, even taking on more senior responsibilities without hesitation.
Natasha even oversaw the South on her own for a period of time and did it with complete positivity, no complaints, and a real can‑do attitude.

Thanks for everything you do, Natasha! We are lucky to have you on the team ✨

Caring With Compassion 💜

Today we want to give a very special shout out to our incredible Edinburgh North West carers, Sanita, Fatima, Sunny, Anne and Flinn, for the outstanding compassion and professionalism they showed during an extremely difficult moment for our service users' family.

When our service user suffered a stroke, our carers were there immediately to support her and also her husband, (a service user of ours too) with calmness, confidence and genuine care. The ambulance crew on scene praised the team repeatedly for how exceptionally the situation was handled.

A particular thank you goes to Sanita, whose quick thinking, steady reassurance and compassionate communication really impressed the paramedics, they shared that they don't often see carers manage emergencies so well. She supported not only our service user, but also the family members present, helping them understand what was happening with kindness and clarity.

Our service users' family members have passed on their heartfelt gratitude to Sanita, as well as to Sunny, Anne and Flinn, for supporting their dad so thoughtfully during such a distressing time.

💛 Thank you all for demonstrating exactly what outstanding care looks like.
Your actions made a world of difference, and we are incredibly proud to have you on our team.
