Everybody is talking about long-term antibiotics for chronic UTIs right now… but very few people are asking the bigger question:

⚠️ Why does the infection keep coming back in the first place?

I’m not anti-antibiotics at all. But if we only focus on “killing bacteria” without changing the environment underneath, the cycle often continues.

Because chronic UTIs are rarely just about one bacteria.

We also need to look at:
🔹 the bladder lining
🔹 the vaginal and urinary microbiome
🔹 the immune system
🔹 gut health
🔹 nervous system stress + inflammation
🔹 mindset shifts

Repeated antibiotics (even short courses) disrupt the beneficial bacteria that help protect you, which is why so many women end up dealing with things like:
→ thrush
→ BV
→ gut symptoms
→ increasing sensitivity
→ repeated infections

Most bladder health advice isn’t completely wrong… it’s just missing context.

And when you’re struggling with recurrent UTIs, IC, or bladder pain syndrome, that missing context matters.

For example:
D-mannose can be incredibly helpful…
but only for certain bacteria.

Cranberry can absolutely support E Coli prevention…
but only if the PAC dose is high enough.

And probiotics?
The strain matters more than the word “probiotic” on the label.

This is what I see every day working with women who feel overwhelmed, restricted, and stuck in symptom cycles despite “doing everything right.”

The goal is to understand what YOUR body actually needs.

We've been taught to hand our health over to someone else.
To wait for answers. To wait to be “fixed“.

And while support is important… You don’t have to give your power away.

👉doing the physio homework
👉 actually taking the supplements
👉 eating the foods that support your body
👉 practising the mindset work (not just reading about it).

Not someday. Not when things feel easier or when you have time. But in the small, consistent actions.

I had a client who was told she had interstitial cystitis and to avoid acidic foods.

But when we looked deeper, her results showed very high levels of E. coli.

Now we know things like cranberry PACs can help reduce the risk of E. coli adhering.

But when it came up - she said no.✋

Not because she’d reacted to it… but because she believed it wasn’t safe.

She’d been told acidic foods were a problem, and so of course she felt afraid.

Meanwhile, her results were pointing us in a completely different direction - one where cranberry may actually support her due to a bacterial imbalance.

This is how beliefs can quietly keep you stuck.

Not the food itself…
but what you’ve been told about it.
