Penny (my daughter/ aka junior receptionist!) is a jockey in today’s gala! We are all hoping she doesn’t chat too much and she keeps her hands on the reigns! 🤣

👣 Important announcement 👣

Unfortunately there will be a slight increase to all our prices in the clinic from the 1st April 2025.
We try to keep the cost as low as possible for everyone however rising costs mean we have to put the prices up this year.
All the staff at Feet & Co Podiatry Ltd appreciate your encouragement and support you have shown to the clinic over the years and hope you understand our reasons for price rises when it’s absolutely needed.

Today is Rare Disease Day.
We have many patients who battle every day with rare diseases.
Pam (our clinic coordinator and my mum!) was diagnosed last year with a rare disease and hasn’t been able to come back to the clinic yet.
She’s an absolute inspiration with great determination to get back to her old self and we all hope to see her back in the clinic once she feels ready.
This is a wee shout out to everyone who has a rare disease and to Pam/ Mum you are doing great!

Join our team!

**Job advert - self employed HCPC fee sharing podiatrist. **
We are looking for a HCPC registered self employed fee sharing podiatrist to join our team. The right candidate can be newly qualified or experienced but be willing to work as part of a team to get the best outcomes for our patients.
We have a variety of days and hours to suit any schedule but would benefit from having a car to help with domicillary caseload.
Clinic caseload compromises of routine podiatry, nail surgery, MSK etc with a variety of patients. Mentorship provided if wanted also.
The clinic is a 3 chaired clinic and is based just outside Edinburgh in Loanhead area.

⚠️ Red Weather Warning ⚠️

A series of severe weather warnings are in place now for tomorrow (Friday, 24 January) across Scotland due to Storm Éowyn.
Travel conditions are likely to be extremely dangerous and only essential travel is advised.
As a result our clinics will be closed to keep our staff and patients safe.
All patients who were booked in tomorrow will be contacted to rearrange their appointment.

Thanks to everyone who bought from our bake sale or raffle and the parents and grandparents of the football team for donating yummy baking.
We raised £350 to put towards the boys football tournament. Well done everyone! 👣⚽️👣

Rather than a secret Santa this year the Feet & Co staff donated toys to a very worthy cause ran by Loanhead Parish Church.

After some constructive feedback from a recent patient I have reflected on the practice in the clinic. I love feedback of a positive nature but equally I’m always looking to improve the practices and systems within the clinic.

For your info-

We now have 3 male podiatrists working in the clinic - Daniel, Ross and Alexis. Mug shots attached! 📸

All the podiatrists at the clinic are HCPC registered however if you would prefer a male or female practitioner please let us know at your next appointment or when you next book.
None of the podiatrists working in the clinic will be offended if you choose to see a male or female practitioner!

You will be informed of who you have booked in to see at the time of booking your appointment. Occasionally, we have podiatrists who are unable to come in and sometimes at short notice. To avoid cancelling clinics we try our best to get it filled by other podiatrists within the clinic. If this happens at short notice we will try to get in touch by phone to let you know of the change.

If you do have a preference the best way to check who you are seeing is on your email reminder message or appointment confirmation message where you will see the podiatrists name.

If anyone has any further feedback for this please do get in touch with me.

Hello podiatrists local to us in Midlothian and Edinburgh area.
I’m looking to build a wider list of friendly podiatrists local to us in loanhead who would be able to cover weekday podiatry clinics either during the day or into the evening. No contracted hours as such just cover when it’s needed.
