He's back again. We physically cannot keep him away. Your third resident providing the soundtrack for discotia 003 is steef_n ✌️

Steve started off DJing dubstep, plays the tuba and has a (not so) secret love for Seal. He brings his eclectic tastes to sets, making sure dancers are kept on their toes. Mixing the old with the new and not shying away from genre-hopping, Steve's only music policy is 'if it sounds good, play it'.

Hailing from Fife and now a part of Glasgow’s thriving music scene, Lobos is a DJ and producer who for 7 years has played across the UK. His debut release 5am Sunrise has been described as having “an energy and excitement which is reminiscent of early 90’s UK dance records. Looped synth lines and melodies playfully develop and distort throughout while driving kicks and clean percussion lead through moments of euphoria.”

And what a bloody face it is. Your first resident announcement for discotia 003 is Mairi 'b' Pots 🪘

Mairi is an Edinburgh-based DJ and percussionist whose sets are defined by a rich blend of house, disco, funk, soul, and electronic music. Drawing on her background in live percussion, she crafts rhythmically engaging and genre-fluid performances that resonate with a diverse audience. This is ever-present in her other projects with Accident Machine and EPIKA.

Through both live events and recorded mixes, Mairi ‘b’ Pots continues to establish herself throughout the Edinburgh music scene.

We are returning to Sneaky Pete's for a festival weekend special, where discotia residents will be laying down grooves thick and fast, from 11pm to 5am 🕺

This party is in aid of EarthPercent, the music industry's climate and nature foundation.

We're delighted to welcome miira to discotia 002.

miira holds down a residency at Edinburgh community radio station ehfm with their show Warm Up, which strives to represent FLINTA talent in the Scottish scene. They are also known as a member of DJ collective Miss World.

They have supported names like 4am Kru, Mantra, Eich, Honeydrip and sadsugar amongst others and played at festivals like Kelburn Garden Party and Headset Festival.

miira's eclectic sets are characterised by heavy basslines and percussive rhythms.

💃 ARTIST ANNOUNCEMENT 💃

We're delighted to welcome Al Gu to discotia 002.

Al Gu is a DJ/Producer, mainly recognised for their Goop EP, as well as their involvement in music related Community Building Projects throughout Scotland: Faerie Circle and Slàinte Mhath and their one off event with baile/baile - Na Gabh Dragh (a club night with an included Gaelic lesson at Summerhall). Starting their career curating and producing collage works for the exhibition Finding contentment at Bridgend Farmhouse, Al expanded to nightlife events, DJ-ing and sound production. Their music has been a part of Your Tears Taste like Sugar at Petersburg Art Space, Works in Progress on EHFM and short film Waiting for Marcus. They also have a regular EHFM show ratarsed with Faerie Circle Co-creator Malicedeejay, showcasing oddball selections and excellent yapping. Expect heavy bass, jungle/breakbeats and electro from Al’s genre-bending DJ sets.

Thank you Kelburn Garden Party 🙌

What a bloody weekend! Our bodies are depleted but our hearts are very very full.

A big shout to the dancers and the Peaches in the Plaisance crew for giving us an amazing wee hour. And big thanks to Chris Astrojazz Knight for getting us on to the line up!
