Absolutely loved it 🥰 feeling refreshed and a little bit lighter. Today’s practice is letting go. And my mantra is “Thank you, Goodbye” ❤️‍🩹

I loved this book and how some of the more tricky yoga philosophy is explained through story. I just gobbled it up.

Tomorrow I begin my Delving Deeper into Yoga Philosophy and Meditation course with I am so excited to be doing more training with the amazing Marit.

This book was the first on the reading list and was a joy to read. I am so looking forward to beefing up my meditation practice 😌

Yoga Nidra is one of my go-to survival tools in times of change, of stress and pressure.

1 hour of yoga nidra is said to be the equivalent of 4 hours sleep.

I love it as one of my most nurturing and transformational self care practices.

We lie down on our backs, wrapped in a blanket, perhaps a pillow under your head and knees.
Listen to the speaker’s voice as they guide you through a body scan towards a visualisation into deep relaxation. While in this state of relaxed awareness it is the perfect time to plant a seed into your unconscious mind. You get to choose..

HYGGE ❄️✨ I love getting cosy, I love my diffuser and I absolutely love reading Nigel Slater cook books. They are the ultimate in cosy for me. The sandwich section is my happy place. If made me a sandwich it would be the best sandwich of my life.

I’m keeping it simple in the diffuser this evening with pure organic lavender oil, nothing else. It is just such a beautiful aroma.

What’s your best ever sandwich? I think this weekend could see a sandwich challenge coming on 🥪

GO OUTSIDE ❄️ today I feel hormonal and sad and totally fed up with the world and the stupidity. Finally I dragged my ass outside and had a wander round my neighbourhood.
Best thing I’ve done for myself all day. Feel refreshed and little bit less anxious. A wee boy out on his bike said hello to me which made me smile 💜

Seven days of self care 2/7.
WATER - water is such a healer. Drink it, bathe in it, look at it. Water carves out it’s own path. It flows, it froths and bubbles, it is deep and mysterious, with incredible power. It trickles, it ebbs, it forms landscapes and underground caverns.

Water is the element of winter ❄️

It is so important to look after our feet at this time of year. Cold feet can drain your batteries!
Soak your feet in a basin of piping hot water. You can add some salts and essential oils to make your foot soak even more relaxing.
Pat your feet dry with a warm towel and massage the skin with a nourishing oil. My favourite is
Massaging your feet in the evening can help bring you into your body, out of your busy mind, grounding and relaxing you before bed.
All you need now are some cosy socks 🧦
