Meet Brann. Brann came to edinburgh with his little sister in search of a new life. However, finding work and housing has been really difficult. He is currently staying in temporary housing but needs to find work in order to stay off of the streets.

This is where you come in! We are raising funds to get Brann a refurbished notebook so he can have an easier time searching for opportunities and staying connected with loved ones. We are hoping that this will make Brann's life a bit easier while he finds his footing.

Every pound helps! So Donate TODAY.

After Charlie's Mom died, grief consumed her. She had struggled for many years with mental health issues, but after such a tragedy, she just couldn't cope. Soon after her mother's death, Charlie became homeless. And her depression only worsened until she finally attempted to end her life.

Thankfully Charlie was rescued and given some of the help she needed. Now Charlie has tenancy but is struggling to manage it.

She is attempting to raise the funds for a Tesco Phone and an ID card so she can keep in connect with friends and family as well as receive the mental health care she desperately needs.

We only have £30 to go!!!! So every pound helps!

Share Charlie's profile with your friends and visit our Website for more stories like Charlie's 💙💚💛🧡

Filip suffered a brain injury and then lost his father. Since these tragedies he has experienced homelessness and has had a difficult time keeping a job. But Edinburgh Headway Group (a brain injury organisation) has been a tremendous help in supporting Filip in managing and improving his condition!

However, the cost of the therapy sessions is no longer affordable for Filip, and without them he has been feeling increasingly isolated. But we want to help! We are raising funds so that Filip can continue his treatment! Can you help us reach our target?!?

A radical new approach to homelessness that places rough sleepers into permanent housing before tackling problems such as mental health issues and substance abuse could be a “game-changer”, a national homeless charity has said. Research by Crisis found that supporting people into a stable home of th...

Does the way we give matter? And what is the difference between charity and solidarity?

The relationship between a giver and receiver is very often damagingly unequal. And this inequality can CONTRIBUTE to the overall disempowerment of an individual.

So how can we give in solidarity and not in patronizing pity? How can we honor an individual who is in need?

"When it comes to poverty, we, the rich, should stop pretending we know best. We should stop sending shoes and teddy bears to the poor, to people we have never met. And we should get rid of the vast industry of paternalistic bureaucrats when we could simply hand over their salaries to the poor they're supposed to help."

RUTGER BREGMAN discusses the misconceptions we have about the poor and argues that poverty is NOT the result of poor character but rather a "scarcity mindset" that leads to a hyper stressed state of existence.

His talk is truly informative and solution-based! Check it out and tell us what you think. Can poverty be solved?

We all want to be happy, but the fact of the matter is life is difficult and the world can be depressingly dark. So with all of the hardship, how can we learn to focus on the positive? How can we cultivate a sense of contentment in the whirlwind of our life? Especially when "happiness" is such a personal, subjective and ever changing idea...
Luckily recent research suggests that it might be simpler than you think! By practicing certain mindful activities and acts of compassion, studies have shown that we can actually strengthen the neural networks in our brains related to peace, calm, and contentment! In other words, every time you pause to write a gratitude list or make an effort help those in need you are literally rewiring your brain to be more happy. What a concept!
