A little (re)introduction
Well hello, I'm Justine tucked away on the Moray Coast in the North of Scotland (where we describe everything as wee π)
I'm the founder of and my whole world sits at the intersection of where neuroscience and psychology meet anatomy and movement, and well the very real human lived experience of being in a body.
Over the last few years I've specialised my background that started in Nursing into Psychology then honing into neuropschology and exercise science
Alongside my studies, Iβve completed my 300HR Yoga Teacher Training and specialised in Myofascial Release, Yin, Restorative, Yoga Nidra, meditation, breathwork and sound therapy.
Iβm also certified in mat Pilates, kinesiology, a range of bodywork and massage modalities blending functional and holistic practices into one integrated framework.
But here's the honest part
I didn't arrive in this field because everything in life was aligned and peaceful. But because everything wasn't π
My relationship with my body, exercise, emotions, health had been complicated
After starting in Nursing and joining the military, a knee injury and misdiagnosis later that snowballed into sepsis and internal bleeding. My immune system crashed, the nerve damage got worse and then chronic pain and exhaustion took over my life
That chapter became a blur of 11+ surgeries, a full knee reconstruction later then a fall during rehab which meant my arm needed reconstructed (classic π), then endometriosis.. then 3 spinal surgeries 1 of which that went completely wrong my spinal fluid leaks and I spent the next months horizontal with a brain sag
Soooooo no didn't wander into holistic health with a green smoothie and a yoga mat. It felt like I was dragged by life.
And the realisation that slowing down was no longer optional.
When I started combining my scientific background with meditation and movement something finally shifted.
Not overnight, but enough to show me a way forward.
During Covid, while working full time I started hosting free online meditations, I thought no one would join π
Then somehow 4 years on........π (ctd in comments)
