As we prepare to close our factory for the Christmas break, we took time to recognise the dedication, commitment, and long-standing service of our team.

Our annual Fabdec Group awards ceremony was hosted by Directors Chris Powell and Graham Egar, celebrating colleagues whose contributions have helped shape the business over many years. This year, we were proud to recognise service milestones ranging from 15 to over 40 years.

We also marked a very special moment by thanking Chris Thomas, who, after completing 40 years with Fabdec Group, is now retiring. Chris’s commitment, experience, and contribution over four decades have played an important role in the growth of the business, and we thank him sincerely for his service and wish him every happiness in retirement.

Following the presentations, the team came together to enjoy a traditional fish and chip lunch, a well-earned celebration of a year’s hard work.

We would like to wish all our customers, partners, and stakeholders a very Merry Christmas, and to thank our colleagues across Fabdec Group for their continued dedication and professionalism.

A small component making a big impact on water heating

At first glance, the Venturi device looks like a simple white fitting on a copper line. In practice, it is a smart EXCELSIOR solution designed to extend the performance of unvented water heating systems by optimising air gap management within the cylinder.

It starts with the coil inside.

The EXCELSIOR team have recently completed another triple manifolded heat pump coil, a design we build regularly, but one that continues to show how much precision goes into every part of our manufacturing process.

As heat pumps become a core part of the UK's decarbonisation strategy, coil design matters more than ever. Lower flow temperatures and higher flow rates demand a coil that can transfer heat efficiently without creating unnecessary pressure drop, and that is exactly what a triple manifolded layout is engineered for.

Behind the scenes, these coils require real engineering excellence:
