MERRY CHRISTMAS 🎄

What a year. A mixed bag to be honest, but grateful that there have been an awful lot of serious highs.

⭐️Our boy started school and has absolutely smashed it so far (and football, football, more football)
⭐️Me and my man, side by side through everything, the good, the bad, and all in between .
⭐️Began my professional breathwork journey, loving every minute, so lucky to share this, and completed my IPHM Inner You Faciliator training (thank you and the whole community).
⭐️Completed a Swimrun in honour of my Bro-in-law, raising vital funds for the brilliant
⭐️Organised a small event for World Su***de Prevention Day, the start of things to come.
⭐️Continued the free community weekly walk, that is still going strong into the winter for the first time.
⭐️A full year back being a self employed Personal Trainer, building the most wonderful team of clients, I love every single one of them, thank you for the cards, gifts, messages and continued support.
⭐️2 wonderful trips to our beloved Cornwall.
Found the courage to attend a networking event and found a fab community.
⭐️New friendships that genuinely feel like the start of lifelong connections.
⭐️A magical connection made with the fabulous
⭐️Continued friendships with my people, you all know who you are. Thank you as always. Some of you, far away, I miss you so much.
⭐️Family time, from BBQ's to spa days.

Oh gosh, I feel very grateful writing all this and could go on...

Yes there are lows of course, but focusing on the positives helps bring more of them and genuinely feels very special. Please remember not to compare yourself to anyone else during all these end of year reflections.

SQUATS AND SEQUINS.

I LOVE MY JOB!!!!

You may know me as a breathwork facilitator, but for nearly a decade I have been a Personal Trainer, and I still love love love it.

For me its not just about exercise, its about strength, in the physical sense, emotional strength and resilience, and a strength in connection and community.

I love my 1:1 work, I love teaching classes and I love small group PT.

These ladies, and all my other clients have been so wonderful this year, I have had a blast, and I hope they have too.

Some are winding down, others are continuing over Christmas, but I just want to say thank you and Merry Christmas to each of them.

A special thanks to this lot this morning, I dont often share pictures or videos of my clients, so I appreciate this and you a LOT!!!

GUILT OR PLEASURE AT CHRISTMAS

This festive period brings a lot of indulgence, christmas chocolates, mince pies, mulled wine, nights out, beige buffets and more.

It is OK to enjoy it, you should not feel guilty for having a little extra treat now and again. Be mindful, so you can stay in control.

However, sometimes that is easier said than done, i know. It's not greed, or lack of self control or willpower, it's not self sabotage, it's not as simple as that.

It may be deeper, emotional connections to food, alcohol or Christmas memories, you may be doing it to feel safe or loved or a multitude of other reasons.

If you need to, pause, take a slow inhale through your nose, and a longer exhale through your mouth a few times, calm your nervous system before asking yourself how that snack/drink/event will make you feel in the short and long term, then make an informed decision.

And if you do go a little wild, be kind to yourself, you are not alone.

Plus, there will be plenty of new year new you offers to jump on soon, just try and choose one thats sustainable, and not just a quick fix....

DECEMBER

This time of year can be complicated in so many ways.
Expectations and pressures are high, routines get lost, financial troubles arise, family difficulties, missing loved ones....

So try and do what works for you. Make time for yourself in all the madness. Set boundaries where possible.

If you have unfinished business with 2025, there is still time, go get it done.

If everything is telling you to slow down, listen, take a breath.

Whatever December brings for you, you will be ready.

MY BREATHWORK JOURNEY
so far, has been incredible.
I stumbled across breathwork, a complete cynic, and fell in love with the power of the breath.

First I had to know more, starting with reading and practising myself, then i went on to study, because I felt the pull to share it with the world.

My facilitor journey started at the beginning of 2025, I have since run 11 group sessions at 4 different venues including mens only sessions in the woods, 1:1's, online and a retreat. I can honestly say I have loved every single experience, the planning, the writing, the banging playlists, but most of all, getting to meet so many wonderful people, more open minded than i ever was, and to share this incredible modality.

Awwww I feel so lucky, so grateful, and next year is going to be even bigger and better.

I have big plans, some solo, some with my new partner in crime as The Breath and Sound Collective. More groups, 1:1, events and even corporate. I am so excited.

Oh and one more thing, a very special new qualification coming very soon, with the very man that inspired this breathwork journey (JC, watch this space)

Thank you everyone that has been a part of this journey, everyone that has joined me, and to my man who supports all my crazy ideas, even when he thinks i have turned a little crazy and woowoo 🤣

Breathwork is different for everyone, and usually different every time you breathe, you can't predict or control what comes up for you, but it will always be what your body needs, the breath has a way of knowing what you are ready for.

WEEKEND MOVEMENT

Exercise and movement are a huge part of our family, but often separate activity. I will run, Darren will go the gym and Albi plays football, bike park, skate park, the list goes on.

🏃🏼‍♀️This weekend is a bit different as Darren has been called away to work, leaving me without my usual run opportunity.
Instead of skipping the run altogether, I asked Albi to join me on his bike 🚴‍♂️ he jumped at the chance.

We sang the lava and chicken song about 3427 times 😆 we laughed and enjoyed our time together.

We covered 6km, I could not be more proud of my boy. That was something special. The fresh air and movement that brings me so much peace and joy, I got to share that with Albi ✨️

We then went swimming together too, so so much fun 😊

Now Daddy is finally home and its time for a family dinner followed by some boxing 🥊

Every year, I use November as a cleanse, a reset, before the festive rush of indulgence.

I usually cut out alcohol and sweet treats, which I will still limit this month, but I am also using it as an opportunity to reflect on my day to day and make sure I am prioritising whats important to me. The people and habits that fill my cup, that bring me peace, laughter, and give me the confidence to be myself without any masks.

This November I am saying NO to anything that doesn't fill me with excitement, that doesn't nourish me, or fill my cup.
