It can feel painful or frightening to face the parts of ourselves which we fear are flawed, damaged or weak in some way. However, this quote which is often attributed to Freud, is a powerful reminder that true strength and growth can come from accepting and getting to know all aspects of ourselves and the challenges we’ve been through. Paradoxically, the places we fear the most in ourselves, are the places we’ll find the most resilient and authentic version of ourselves.
